05.01.2022 Yesterday I spoke about my desire to leave my legacy as I approach 60. And I rarely post political stuff but I feel this will help create the change necessary to rebuild the state I love Victoria which still despite lockdown ending continues to suffer. With a state election this year I have decided to get involved -no I am not running for a seat or entering politics but doing my bit. ... Both Jamie Marra and I feel strongly about both major parties not being up to scratch and deserving of our vote. So we met with the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party and put our opinions, thoughts and comments to David Southwick who to his credit took our frank assessment very well. Even got his computer out and took notes!! And I even took in 3 pages of notes my ex husband Bruce Mannion wrote on what they are doing wrong and how they should change the way they are doing things. Bless my ex husband as he writes as he is thinking in his head-direct, a few swear words and a lot of passion that had David smiling. I couldn't believe it when he mentioned one thing my ex husband said was right!! By meetings end we had David thinking. He did say that the Liberal party has a desire to create a grass roots movement of the people, to be known as the people's party. They have the desire to LISTEN and COLLABORATE with the electorate but just not certain as to how to go about it. David said he needed more people like Jamie Marra and I as we have the networks. So I guess if you feel the same way as we do and want to get involved to have your say, please contact me. If David is desiring to hear more from us to help them shape their policies then that is a good thing right?
