24.01.2022 On 15 December 2020, Margosa Graphite Ltd was awarded the Advanced Exploration and Restoration Plan (AERP) approval from the Geological Survey and Mining Bureau, Government of Sri Lanka, for the refurbishment and development of a shaft at the Ridee Ganga Vein Graphite Project, Pathakada, Sri Lanka. The approval will allow the commencement of dewatering and shaft development at the site, allowing lithostructural information, vein geometry and mine planning to be confirmed. Bul...k samples of graphite ore will be collected for finalisation of metallurgy, advance marketing and off-take negotiations. The shaft will also provide ventilation, services and emergency egress for future mine development. Perth-based, Wilshaw Engineering have completed the design and engineering of the shaft equipment for fit out, including a 12m headframe, ancillary mining equipment, electric hydraulic hoist and man-riding attachments. The equipment is refurbished and is awaiting shipment to the site for construction to commence in 2021. The shaft program is planned to run for 6 months. 14.01.2022 Margosa Graphite Ltd continued to accelerate its exploration and development in Sri Lanka with the purchase of its first diamond drill rig; a MD600 from Alton Drilling Ltd, New Zealand. The drill rig arrived mid 2018 and was immediately put to work at the Company’s Ridee Ganga Graphite Project, Pathakada. To coincide with the procurement of the new rig, internationally experienced Drill Manager, Murray Carpenter, joined Exploration Manager, Hamish Fraser, and his team in Sri ...Lanka, to supervise and train the drill team. Since arriving in Sri Lanka, the MD600 rig has drilled over 11,000m of HQ core; working predominantly at the Ridee Ganga Project following up on the previous geophysical surveys and earlier drilling. The drill rig has also tested other geophysical targets identified during the Helicopter-borne Time Domain Electromagnetic (HDTEM) survey, and has successfully intersected vein graphite. While these targets require further testing it has provided vital feedback about the success of the AEM survey. Exploration drilling continues to focus on Ridee Ganga, with infill and extensional drilling underway. We are grateful to our team of local geologists; Suresh Rathnayake, Kavinda Dilshan, Dilan Rathnayake, Darshana Rasika, Kusal Kavishanka and Kasun Kariyawasam, as well as our local drill crew; Evan Fernando, Ranjith Wijerathne, Indunil Sooriyaarachchige and Laxman Madanayake, who have been working throughout the challenges of 2020 to continue our exploration drilling program. 12.01.2022 Margosa Graphite Ltd continues to explore its extensive graphite tenure in Sri Lanka during the disruptive and uncertain times of the pandemic. Whilst currently focused on developing the Ridee Ganga Vein Graphite Project at its Pathakada tenement, the future development of the company’s other exploration licences is moving ahead. Margosa’s Regional Geology team, led by Project Geologist, Kasun Kariyawasam, are currently working on the Waharaka Exploration Licence, located 40k...m east of Colombo. Margosa first identified the Waharaka Licence as a site of significant graphite mining history in 2012 and following the receipt of the licence, completed detailed reconnaissance works in the area. In 2017, this tenement was a focus of the Helicopter-borne Time Domain Electromagnetic survey (HDTEM) and subsequent modelling of this survey identified priority targets. The Regional Geology team's recent field work has focused on a detailed follow-up of the HDTEM modelling alongside review of the Geological Survey and Mining Bureau’s (GSMB) geological mapping. The team has identified numerous historical workings, including substantial adits and shafts located within the tenement. Margosa’a exploration drilling team will now design a drill program to further test the priority targets at the Waharaka Licence, whilst the Regional Geology team will look to expand their exploration at the company’s additional licences. 12.01.2022 Margosa Graphite Ltd and Lankan Resources & Mining (Pvt) Ltd have recently completed the second stage of their action plan to establish a Community Water Supply Scheme at Pathakada, Sri Lanka. The scheme will provide a water well and storage tank to produce a safe and reliable water supply to the local community. Consultation began in December 2018, with the first community meeting attended by the Geological Survey & Mines Bureau (GSMB), Water Resources Board, Central Environ...mental Authority, Divisional Secretariat, Local Council, Village Officer and villagers. A hydrological investigation was completed and outcomes presented at a second meeting, held in December 2019. Following recommendations from government authorities, a detailed proposal was prepared and submitted to the GSMB for approval. Negotiations are currently underway for the purchase of land prior to commencement of construction by the National Water Supply & Drainage Board. Once commissioned, the scheme will be handed over to the beneficiaries of the project, members of the community Water Supply Society, for operation and maintenance. The company will continue to assess and monitor the project after the commissioning period. www.margosagraphite.com #graphite #veingraphite #MargosaGraphite #SriLanka #community #water #watersupply

07.01.2022 In April 2020, Margosa Graphite Ltd proudly announced its updated Mineral Resource Estimate, completed in accordance with the JORC Code (2012), for the Ridee Ganga Vein Graphite Project, Pathakada, Sri Lanka. An impressive 1,724,610 tonnes grading at 76.32% Total Graphitic Content was defined. The Mineral Resource Estimate was completed on 30 April 2020, by independent mining consultants, Measured Group, Brisbane, Australia. The work was an upgrade and expansion of the maiden... Mineral Resource Estimate, also completed by Measured Group on 28 March 2019. The updated estimate was calculated using geological data collected from additional infill and extensional drilling, undertaken after the 2019 model was completed, utilising 8,652 metres of diamond core drilling from 49 holes. The updated Mineral Resource Estimate has resulted in Margosa Graphite Ltd, having the largest reported vein graphite deposit.
