24.01.2022 An important skill to practice when playing slowly is to think ahead of the music. When practicing a new piece fast, there is a tendency to mentally fall behind the music and this can become a habit. This is bad because that is how you lose control. Think ahead when playing slowly and then try to maintain that lead when you get back up to speed. By thinking ahead, you can usually foresee flubs or difficulties coming and have the time to take appropriate action.

18.01.2022 Steady beat is the most fundamental concept in music. Its the ongoing, steady, repetitive pulse that occurs in songs, chants, rhymes, and music. Even newborn babies respond to the steady beat of music, and thats no surprise when you consider they have been listening to the steady beat of their mothers heart from inside the womb. Most children learn to keep a steady beat while swaying, clapping, moving their arms, and beating a loud, booming drum. This skill will help a child prepare to later use scissors, a hammer, a saw, a whisk, and all kinds of other tools. Not to mention, its absolutely essential to learning a musical instrument.

07.01.2022 Interval on piano is the distance between two musical notes on this instrument and understanding and identification of intervals is important for learning to select right notes to be played at right times to build a perfect harmonious melody. In a melody, you can play different notes. Your notes would either remain same or it can go up or down. Intervals are basically leading to notes that either go up or down within a melody.
06.01.2022 Learning to play a musical instrument and playing in an ensemble is very demanding," says Martin Guhn, one of the researchers involved with the study, "A student has to learn to read music notation, develop eye-hand-mind coordination, develop keen listening skills, develop team skills for playing in an ensemble and develop discipline to practice.
06.01.2022 The treble clef is also called the G clef because the symbol at the beginning of the staff (a stylised letter G) encircles the second line of the staff, indicating that line to be G4 (or G above middle C). It is the most commonly used clef today and is usually the first clef that musicians learn on their music theory journey.
