23.01.2022 All pilots please note that the CTAF frequency has changed for YMRI from 126.7 to 132.05 from surface to 3500ft and there is only ONE runway in use, which is 09/27 - 18/36 is closed and converted into a sugarcane plantation. Please do not fly over the houses of adjacent farms on downwind legs. Stay safe!

22.01.2022 Hello to everyone that is involved with Marian Airfield, unfortunately my fathers cane farm is being sold off, hopefully the new owners will allow the north south runway to remain open for future aviation activities. The east west runway will remain in operation even if the new owners close the north south runway. I have decided to sell up due to the sale of the cane farm so if anyone is interested in purchasing my place which will include the east west runway please contact me on 0478966457. Thanks.

18.01.2022 Marian airfield made it possible to take this group for quick flights to the dam, river and mountains in the area before the low came in! Tx for the help Steve, they loved the flights and seeing the building up of the storm clouds first hand!

16.01.2022 Message to all pilots and friends that use the Marian airfield, very disappointing to have someone drive through to a hangar when I have just put up a chain across the entrance to the hangars. After we have had heavy showers. If this happens again I will ask them to leave and not return. I spend a lot of time trying to keep the place tidy and to have it bogged up really pisses me off. Please allow 24 hours for it to dry out before entering the property that’s all I ask. Thank you.
