So as of 22 June 2020, outside gatherings will be up to 10 people in addition to the couple getting married, the celebrant and other staff such as the photographer! However, if held in a private residence, limited to the members of the household, five attendees, plus the celebrant! Social distancing and other restrictions as per government guidelines mus...t be adhered to at all times! The Vic Government has locked down all metro Melbourne and Mitchell Shire areas - all LGA areas have returned to Stage 3 restrictions! The strict guidelines under Stage 3 for weddings in these LGA areas are; the couple getting married, their 2 witnesses and the Celebrant only! However, for areas in regional V...ictoria and outside the metro Melbourne and Mitchell Shire areas, restrictions remain as they were: outside gatherings up to 20 people, in addition to the Celebrant and couple getting married, can attend a wedding. But, if a wedding is held in a private residence, it will be limited to the members of the household, five people, plus the Celebrant. Also note, that the Government regulations include children of all ages as part of the people/guests invited.
