10.01.2022 Roll Ups During Covid 19 Restrictions Due to the Governments Covid-19 restrictions the club committee have decided not to open the club up as of this time until further relaxation of rules from the Government and BQ. During this next stage until 19th June there will be no competition at the club.... Roll ups are permitted but all facilities other than the green will be closed. Please bring your own jack and mat. These can be a tennis ball or golf ball and a bowls cloth or hand towel for a mat. Please follow the Australian Government Corvid-19 safe distancing and hygiene rules. Up to 4 people can roll up on a rink. There must be a rink space (empty rink) between each rink in use. Only 10 people on the green at any one time, if 10 people already there go home, do not linger. Green keeper Kerry states the green will play best, Friday and Saturday’s but you can roll up any days he is not working on the green. Call President Rob if further details required. 06.01.2022 What a day!! Uncertainty with weather but the Marian Club moved ahead with 3 bowl Pairs shoot out. 5 games consisting of 4 rounds and the playoff finals. Winner...s played winners, which means to go through with 5 wins you were playing and winning against some quality teams. Congratulations to Peter petersen and Jason Little on their Gold medal win over Shane Spann and Jason Bartz in the big game, they went to 1 set each and a tie breaker decider with some fantastic bowls. Bronze medal playoff went to Rick Dunn and Ron Horsefall narrowly beating out Joe Oliver and Rob Evans for the win. A great day with a different format that will definitely be going ahead next year. 06.01.2022 Very Social Day Pioneer Valley Bowls Club Tuesday 3rd March 12 noon... Teams of 4 are cordially invited to a very social afternoon of bowls. The event will start at 12 noon with a BBQ lunch and drink. Game 1 will begin at 1pm. Game 2 to begin at 3 30 pm. Games will be 12 ends each or 1.5 hrs long, ish. Winners are decided by 3 points for a win 1 point for an end. Margins will be used as a tie breaker. Conditions of entry, $20 per player, this includes green fees and lunch. Each team to supply a raffle prize of their own choosing to the value of around $50 for a Goose club raffle. Drawn at the conclusion of play. Also included will be loud music and requests will be answered. Special raffle ticket sellers will be employed for your convenience.

Graham played 148 games for QLD and was the first player in Australia t...o win State Singles, Pairs and Fours events in the one year during 1988.
