24.01.2022 Children just love the sand pit whether it’s dry or wet they don’t care. Mr J had been asking all morning to go in the sand . I told him if it stops raining after lunch you can go in so guess where he went after lunch .

This award is to recognise an educator, coordinator and service that has contributed to the family day care sector for a significant period of time and continues to thrive. The Perpetual Star Award is awarded to an educator, coordinator and service that have worked in the family ...day care sector for more than 15 years. Sending a HUGE congratulations to all our educators and CU staff for the continued amazing work you do every single day in providing beautiful care and rich programs for so many children, and supporting families in our community. We cannot thank you enough for the role you play in the lives of so many children and the dedication and passion you continue to give every single day. You all are so deserving of this award and we are all so very proud and happy! A special mention goes out to our long serving educators who have been with Kingborough FDC for so many years, showing their commitment, love and dedication to the scheme. 08.01.2022 Family Day Care Educators from Launceston Family Day Care and Adventure Patch Family Day Care held their first combined conference on the weekend. This was a w...onderful opportunity for educators to come together to meet, learn and network. We had some fabulous guest speakers - Viv from the ECU, Pam, Sarah and Lyndsay from Emerge Allied Health and David Gilkes who is an education consultant. The Adventure Patch pop-up playgroup also made an appearance. There were some spirited jousting bouts and a North vs South tug of war. Julie Hemmings from Inclusion Support was also in attendance. On the day, she advised that we had been successful in receiving a grant to support addition training for our educators which will be mentored by Emerge Allied Health. What an amazing team we are part of!! 03.01.2022 Today the children opted to go straight to the sand boat, was so great to see them playing in the boat again with the sand. Mr F was his first time in the sand boat . They chose what tools they wanted wether it be a scoop, large shell,bucket, small/large bowl.
