18.01.2022 We need your help! We are asking Ku-ring-gai Council to renew our funding for the next 3 years. This will ensure we can continue to perform children's theatre in the local area and deliver our new and exciting program of works, including works with the Chinese Australian community, an indigenous work for children, and a performance by a choir looking at parenting of boys. Without this commitment, MSTYP will struggle to exist. ... We need your help to email the council and ask that they continue to support MSTYP! 14.01.2022 This song is not about Isaac's grandad. It was inspired by the passing away of someone close to him and his reaction to it. Featuring iOTA - amazing amazing song. A privilege to listen to. 10.01.2022 This term we're doing the Drama Module 'Stories from Home' Our first houses came up in our conversation on Monday with our teaching Artists - what we remember and how document the memory of the first houses we lived in, and how houses are markers of our lives and descriptors of how we live. They house memories through time can and could be some interesting starting off points for the stories from home theme this term. ... A great listen here about this theme: https://www.abc.net.au//laten/the-lives-of-houses/12435322 And here's our first home

08.01.2022 Spotlight on the amazing work of Amy Townsend, who did the magnificent artwork for 'Testament'. 'Testament' is about young people interviewing their elders, and turning the interviews into a 12 piece song cycle. We're ALMOST ready to record.
08.01.2022 Why have we been quiet recently? Because we've been busy! It's SORT OF still under wraps, but you can probably guess what's happening. VERY very exciting! More to come...... #TestamentTheatre #MSTYP
07.01.2022 Very satisfying view from the office after a good long day. So excited for filming interviews this weekend with 'Testament.' Can't wait until we can tell everyone about this...there's some really exciting news on the boil but it's still a secret!
07.01.2022 The January holidays are done and dusted! With more than one hundred and fifty kids, plus the wonderful kids from St Lucy's, eleven teaching artists, and many brand new workshops over two weeks, it was one of our best summer's yet. Hear what some amazing parents of our students had to say: ... "My girls had such a wonderful time, thank you. They've not stopped talking about it! We will definitely be back." "My 10 year old loved her one week long "YouTube upload this" workshop and thinks this is the best workshop she's been to!" "Our boy had a great time at the summer "Make a Play" camp. It gave him ideas for acting at home and more confidence to try out his ideas for jokes and puns. The performance at the end was fantastic for facing fears. The whole thing was run well, on time, organised and encouraging. Most importantly, our boy wants to come back next holidays. Thank you."
06.01.2022 Some more photos from Testament rehearsals on the weekend. Thank you to the amazing Grace who helped with photos too! #mstyp #testamenttheatre

01.01.2022 We say good bye to one of our longest, strongest and dearest family members today. Much love to Dee, Victor and family. Here's an image from one of our earliest shows, The Last Bunyip, with Dee as a very young designer working with Audrey.
01.01.2022 And more photos! Interview part of Testament. What's it about? Our young people interview elders in their community, and these interviews inspire a song cycle of 12 compositions. We'll be releasing the music later this year, and (Corona permitting) perform for a studio audience
