I would like to add here another brief comment with some relevance for everyday living. There used to be a form of devotionperhaps less practised today but quite widespread not long agothat included the idea of offering up the minor daily hardships that continually strike at us like irritating jabs, thereby giving them a meaning. Of course, there were some exaggerations and perhaps unhealthy applications of this devotion, but we need to ask ourselves whether there may not after all have been something essential and helpful contained within it. What does it mean to offer something up? Those who did so were convinced that they could insert these little annoyances into Christ's great com-passion so that they somehow became part of the treasury of compassion so greatly needed by the human race. In this way, even the small inconveniences of daily life could acquire meaning and contribute to the economy of good and of human love. 11.01.2022 On the anniversary of Fr. Augustine azur's death, a delegation of the Australian Province prayed at his grave in Czestochowa, Poland.

11.01.2022 Today, we commemorate the death anniversary of Venerable Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, who will soon be beatified. Cardinal Wyszynski is well known for his heroic ...stand against Communism. As the Primate of the Roman Catholic in Poland, he was the unquestionable leader of the Polish nation in opposition to the totalitarian government, especially during the time of severe persecutions. He himself was imprisoned for three years in the 1950s. Cardinal Wyszynski is also well known for his connections to Pope John Paul II. He played a key role in urging then-Cardinal Wojtyla to accept his election as Supreme Pontiff. He is also well known for his strong and fervent devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary - Our Lady of Czestochowa and was very fond of the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland. He also had a great influence on the establishing of our Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA, and Fr. Michael Zembrzuski, the founder of American Czestochowa. At our Shrine grounds, there is a statue dedicated to Him. On the lower level, there is also Wyszynski Hall, a room used for meetings of various pastoral groups of our Shrine. He passed away on May 28, 1981. Pope Francis named him as Venerable on 18 December 2017 upon confirming his heroic virtue. He was scheduled to be beatified in Warsaw on 7 June 2020, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the celebration was postponed until further notice.

02.01.2022 Br. Bruno and Fr. Casimir travelled yesterday, to the parish of st. Maximilian Kolbe, in Witomino, Poland, for a traditional Mass of Thanksgiving for the gift of priestly ordination in Fr. Casimir's mother's parish.
