25.01.2022 200919. With school holidays starting next week, today marks the last day of term training (....kind of, for some). Today’s heat and drills made for an intensive, sweat-filled session. 20.01.2022 201212. The last hoorah (the selfie). It didn’t turn out exactly how we’d hoped

14.01.2022 210501. On this day we formally welcomed Isaac to our Club. Isaac represents what my Dad and I absolutely love, and are grateful for, about our Club. Isaac’s Dad joined us when he was around 10 years old. Isaac’s Mum joined us in her teens. Isaacs Mum and Dad met at the Club, eventually married and have now brought Isaac to train with us also. ... We welcome you, Isaac. We wish you a long and fruitful training experience at our Club - just like your Mum and Dad

Your help is still, despite the training format, very much appreciated.... I'll see those of you continuing to train during the school holidays, next week For those of you taking a break during the holidays, enjoy your break and I'll see you in 2 weeks

13.01.2022 200606. It’s a long weekend, you say?! I wouldn’t have guessed it. Definitely different to the past 25 Queen’s Birthday long weekend sessions but great training by everyone none-the-less. Thanks to all those who made it to class today Enjoy the rest of your long weekend and I’ll see you all on Wednesday

13.01.2022 201010. Almost 2 hours of training condensed into 28 seconds

12.01.2022 200923. 2020 has been an interesting year of many firsts. Today saw the Clubs first remote Poomsae Camp (thanks for the name Rianne). Thanks to those who attended - different to standard training, I realise - but I hope you found it beneficial. 18/18 patterns done

12.01.2022 190926. Poomsae Camp: Day 2. What’s more satisfying than watching a well-executed Taeguk &/or Palgwe at the Club? Watching a Taeguk &/or Palgwe, through a screen, where all students are at separate locations unable to see each other and moving with no count, executed in (almost full) synchrony (using only the sound of controlled breathing and body/dobok movement as a guide for timing). ... A satisfyingly beautiful thing to watch. 18/18 patterns completed. (My screen mirrors the rest of the screens).

11.01.2022 201212. Footage from The Hunger Games-style water fight is too lengthy to post. So here’s The Finale Part 1. Thousands (4000-5000) of water balloons = lots of water-filled containers. Everyone may as well get drenched........again

I thank you all for your continued enthusiasm, focus and fire, despite our distance.... Thank you to Ryan, Teresa, Emmanuelle, Ethan, Seb, Tim and Rianne. Your help is still, despite the training format, very much appreciated. See you all next week. (We missed you today Teresa and Lorenzo)

10.01.2022 201007. Today officially sees the start of our sixth month training remotely, and the start of the last training term for the year. 10.01.2022 201107. Today we wished Max a Happy 12th Birthday for Monday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAX I hope you liked our singing ... From all of your friends at MTKDA

08.01.2022 WATCH THIS SPACE! An update to follow shortly in light of the new DHHS recommendations. (A small heads up: it involves getting everyone wet to some capacity (if I have it my way ) - if I can *just* persuade the Seniors and my Dad that we *can* remain compliant. Thankfully they’re around to keep me in line)... We hope to see you all soon

07.01.2022 200829. Today marks the last session for August, our fourth month training together remotely. Today also sees Victoria return to double-digits for daily COVID case numbers (last seen July 5), a trend I'm hoping will continue so we can all return to the mats. Enjoy the beautiful sunshine and I'll see you all next week ... Thanks for another great session

06.01.2022 200704. What’s one benefit of remote, iso training you ask? We’ve all got no where to go so no one is too fussed if I go over time* (2 hours and 7 minutes, to be exact ). ... * l do ask them first, to be sure no one has other plans/commitments .....and this isn’t the first time

05.01.2022 210424. Today we wished Jacob a happy 13th birthday. Happiest of birthdays to you, again, Jacob!!!!

05.01.2022 200801. Today marks the first session of our fourth month training remotely. Today we also celebrated 2 birthdays: HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY SEB for last Sunday (you got away last Saturday AND Wednesday but not today, my friend - Rianne & Emmanuelle, to say I’m a little disappointed would be an understatement) HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY LORENZO for tomorrow ... I hope you both enjoyed our remote signing - I thought nothing could ever beat our in-class singing but group singing via Zoom is something else See you all next week

(Thank you to those able to support remote training at this time)

02.01.2022 191031. Seniors. Arnis drills #2. Ever wonder what it’s like during Seniors Arnis drilll sessions? It’s focused, disciplined.....with a bit of fun and giggles thrown in once in a while. Some insight for those who may be curious

01.01.2022 200701. Today marks our first remote session for the third month and a first in many, *many* years - training during the school holidays. Today we also welcomed Kaitlyn to the group - we're so glad you could join us. Here's to another month of training apart.....but training none-the-less

01.01.2022 200711. Great session this morning/afternoon with the Juniors and Seniors In the beginning, I was apprehensive about holding remote training sessions (would you enjoy the sessions? Would you find them beneficial? Would you like the format?) - so thank you to those for asking if we could give it a go. Training sessions are going better than I ever imagined (different, but good) - and are now moving on to one-on-one advanced sessions when the need arises. ... Thank you all for your continuous fire, drive and enthusiasm to train - witnessing it makes me really happy
