22.01.2022 The pandemic is not stopping anyone around here! A quick fish before work this morning resulted in a nice 51cm GT and a Flathead almost same length. So get up early, get off the concrete. Don’t be afraid to use deep-sea lures in only one metre of water. And if you miss your favourite lure, go for a dive and get it back! Happy Friday. Stay safe. Stay active.

14.01.2022 Marine Fab recommends the services of InPhase Industries. Ben, the proprietor of this family owned business, has assisted us with IT and electrical help and related consultancy over the last four years. He is also a repeat Client of ours. Ben is also experienced with 12 and 24Volt systems on boats, and has a great deal of experience in Marine solutions and upgrades. Solar is just one example. My suggestion is to get in quick before he is booked out. :)... Best of luck with the new operation, Ben. See more

10.01.2022 With the unexpected re-launch of SV Stray Cat, we are sad to be losing Col, who will no doubt sail north very soon. He has been a very helpful and popular part of our crew since April and Covid. However, Yuri from Accounts has been transferred to a more remote and less harmful role. Visitors are Welcome to come & Meet The New Boss! Happy Friday!

07.01.2022 Marine Fab is now making Portlights to custom sizes. First improvement over the imports is that these open outwards, not inwards.... meaning a big improvement in reliability. Also these can be made to your required size. We’ll start doing curved shapes soon. These can be made with your choice of material.... The white one has 8mm dark grey Perspex. The black ones have 6mm grey toughened safety glass and are made for a floating hotel on the Great Barrier Reef. See more

05.01.2022 This week, a Houseboat was involved in a collision which destroyed 3 windows. Right at their busiest time of the year, when the Houseboats are fully booked. Marine Fab provided a temporary modification and install overnight to get the vessel back in service for the pre-booked Holidays. Almost every one of their staff came over to thank us for delivering what they thought was impossible. In January we will make and install all new replacements.... Meanwhile, the owner of a sailing catamaran which has been difficult to fix has just replied after this afternoons’ massive thunder storm. See more
