20.01.2022 An eerie quiet has descended on Twofold Bay this morning with the usual holiday traffic missing. This is reflected up the coast with the radios very quiet in our adjoining bases. Regrettably Eden Marine Rescue is closed to visitors until the Covid-19 situation in Eden town is resolved. Conditions on the Bay are calm with a low swell from the east, visibility is good, the temperature 15 degrees and the barometer is 1016.7 hPa and falling. 17.01.2022 A strong wind warning has been issued for Eden coastal waters for today and tomorrow for northerly winds to 30 knots later in the day. Despite this, waters on Twofold Bay this morning are calm with a low swell from the east, visibility good, temperature 19 degrees and the barometer 1015.2 hPa and steady. The charter boat "Connemara" has taken advantage of the conditions with an early morning departure to Lennards island. A noteworthy aspect of conditions this morning is the high tide at 0900 which will peak at 2m, which is the highest it has been for some time.

A strong wind warning has been issued for the Eden coast today for nor/northeasterly winds to 30 knots, but at the moment conditions are calm, with slight seas and a low swell from the east. 08.01.2022 Commissioner Stacey Tannos said MRNSW volunteers had carried out 110 rescue missions over the weekend, including 17 in response to life-endangering emergencies. Our volunteers returned 299 people, including 41 children, along with five pets safely to shore, he said.
