15.01.2022 Nine weeks ago we said our final goodbyes to our daughter, Elke. Today we honoured her in Take the Field for Elke. We managed to raise over $20,000 for Bears ...Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support to donate three Cuddle Cots to hospitals in NSW, as well as raising over $6,000 for the Stillbirth Foundation Australia to go towards stillbirth research. Thank you to everyone who came today to help honour our daughter Elke and raise these much-needed funds. Without everyone's support, I don't think we would be where we are today. Every single day for the past nine weeks, we have been met with people who share their own personal stories or of someone close to them who have also experienced stillbirth. It was such an incredible turn out with six teams competing in a round robin tournament. We had a sausage sizzle, cake stall and bar. A special thanks goes to The Entrance Hotel who kindly donated the alcohol, Killarney District Soccer Club for paying for the field hire and Rose Football Academy for the venue.
