01.01.2022 Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2021! @The Salvation Army Marion, we have so many amazing volunteers. Today we celebrate you! In any given week, from Sunday to Saturday, people:... serve in our thrift shop, yard & sorting room welcome people to church do administrative work serve in our youth, kids, seniors, worship team, basketball, life group & Celebrate Recovery ministries collect, pack & distribute bread & other donated food serve the community through Doorways pray for others serve in our sound & multimedia care through phone calls, cards & visits keep our books library & music library up to date fundraise general maintenance around the property answer your phone calls at reception and more! And all these things work together so team marion can impact our community. Together, wherever there is hardship or injustice, Salvos live, love & fight alongside others, to transform Australia one life at a time, with the love of Jesus. To everyone who serves in any way - thank you. We appreciate, value, love & respect you so much. Who you are and what you do is incredible. And so this week particularly, we celebrate YOU. We'd love you to meet every one of our volunteers, as they are each unique with so many different life experiences; you can do this when you come to Marion Salvos!
