24.01.2022 UPDATE Our 30 min restrictions have been lifted by the federal council. All other restrictions still apply such as washing of hands on entry, 4m rule (max 4 humans in my salon, this includes small humans) Time between clients to sanitise efficiently ... No more then one client at a time (unless you have max 2 direct family members with you, like kids) How long this stays in effect, I dont know. I have spare appointment slots tomorrow if you would like to move your appointment forward

18.01.2022 I will be having the salon closed between the 24th December and the 11th of January. And taking appointments from the 15th. The salon bathroom will be getting a renovation and I will be building my reception room as well. With all the noise and construction going on, it won't be the most relaxing place to have your hair done. 16.01.2022 Happy first day of Spring. With the weather warming up, its important to give your hair a deep hydrating treatment to rehydrate after a dry winter. Also having your hair hydrated will help prevent frizz and fly aways ... I recommend the CPR Nourish Hydrosoft treatment. Shampoo your hair, dry off excess water and apply the treatment. Let it sit for 5-30, wrap a warm towel around if you like. Rinse and style as normal. Its good to treat your hair.

I can't believe how slow the beginning of 2020 went and how fast these last few month have been in comparison, its like time is zooming past at light speed. 13.01.2022 Two more days to go, until I take a break at the end of the year. so a little bit of a touching base with you all. Unfortunately I won't be renovating the salon bathroom over the break. So am shortening my time off by a week...I am back in salon from the 8th(instead of the 14th), though I'm already booked up until the 19th Jan. I will be doing the bathroom some time mid Feb, to mid March and will have the salon closed of a week or two. As I don't know exact dates yet, I am ...still taking appointments over those weeks. 13.01.2022 Im closed today and tomorrow as my husband and I are celebrating our 4th anniversary 4 years ago as most of you know, we were up at OReillys, and the warmest it got was 6 degrees I had hand warmers under my dress and a blanket to wear between photos but the weather was clear and the views were crystal.

12.01.2022 As restrictions are easing, I would like to remind everyone of our salon distancing guidelines I am able to have members from the same household share the appointment times in the salon. ie adults and kids who book haircuts/colours on the same day for one after each other to be done. I will still be leaving 15mins between all appointments to clean and disinfect my salon space... I will still be having one client/household in my salon space at a time, this does mean that appointment times are still slightly restricted, though I am still keeping my extended hours to help accommodate all my regular and new clients. If you are feeling unwell, as always, we will reschedule your appointment for when you are feeling better. Tea/coffee will still be served in disposable cups for now. 07.01.2022 Flash back Fridays are still a thing right? I had a great day in my salon working with my colour reps. We were trying out all the new colours, and we each had models. This colour had only been out for a month...a couple of years on and its still one of my favourites and a favourite for my clients. It suits so many skin tones . 05.01.2022 ***Attention (my first) Public Service Announcement *** I'm sure your over loaded with these in your feed at the moment, but here is yet another, please read though and if you see this, can you let me know by giving it a response. To help flatten the curve and stop the spread of Corvid-19, I ask that if you are unwell or have sick close family members/ housemates that we reschedule your appointment. As many of my clients are aware this is my standard yearly flu season req...uests as well. I will be increasing my available hours to help fit in with your schedule, this includes earlier start times and later evening appointments. Also I will be spreading out my appointments so I have only a single client with me at a time and with at least a 10 min cleaning blitz between clients and I won't be using the air-con just having all the windows open to circulate the air. I think its fair to say that it is safer to come here and have your hair done then going to the shopping centres at the moment. As I already take great care to sterilise my equipment, towels, capes and styling stations, I will be continuing that practice as per normal. Hairdressing steriliser is super strong and shown to be affective against the coronavirus, as well as SARs and other really bad nasties, as an industry we were already ahead of the curve there. The only new thing I will be introducing is that you allow me to open all the doors for you to keep my door handles as safe as possible for me and my household ( I do wipe them often, but will be increasing these). And please, please, wash your hands before and after patting the kitty, we cant sterilise him like we can our benchtops though he has had an extra bath this month, and he was not pleased, and I would prefer to keep my arms un-shredded for as long as possible. 05.01.2022 Next Week I'm back to regular hours after my short break. I have a few available appointments everyday next week But not Saturday as it's ANZAC Day and I will be closed. I will be up at 5:30am to get ready to stand at the bottom of my driveway to #lightupthedawn in remembrance.

05.01.2022 So, I saw this in a local mums group , and I just had to share it with you. Who has kids like this? My recommended trimming timing... Short styles: 4-6 weeks, before start of term, and week 5 of term. Medium styles: 6-10 weeks, Start of each term is perfect. Longer styles: 10-16 weeks, about 3 times a year, so after New years, Easter holidays, and September holidays. Even if they are growing it, split ends still need to be removed to help the hair grow longer with out fraying off at the ends. Also lots of brushing as it stimulates the scalp, making it produce hair faster! (about 2mm faster a month, thats a whole extra 2cm a year)

02.01.2022 Please stay safe on the roads, as we are yet to have even more rain and more flash flooding around Brisbanes south side. If its flooded, please find an alternate route. I don't mind if you need to reschedule or if you will be late cause you had to go around the long way. Some roads are "closed" due to flood waters around our way, Ricketts rd, Mt Gravatt Capalaba and the Belmont on ramp to the Gateway are experiencing some flash flooding, and are listed on the QLDtraffic as periodically closed.
