08.01.2022 When your doctor send you for a test, do you get explained what it entails? Many times patients arrive to the ultrasound room without a clear understanding of why they are there or what the exam that has been requested is about. In most cases, a simple conversation and explanation clears any concerns but on occasions these conversation shall have already taken place in the doctor’s room where any questions will be answered appropriately. Only your treating doctor has a bird...’s eye view of your medical history. It can be really hard for the sonographer to manoeuvre through some topics without stepping over discussions that legally they shall not have with the patient. Just keep this in mind when you ask the technician at the end of your exam if everything is ok? Or there is something wrong? .
