Players are to wear summer uniform and are to be seated with their team before 6pm. Normal rules of school behaviour apply. The formal part of the evening, with team presentations and awards, will be followed by separate individual team presentations by coaches and managers. At this stage COVID restrictions mean that only one parent/supporter per player can attend. See more

Kiaan opened the batting AND the bowling, taking 2 wic...kets and then smashing 48*... not only that but he took a catch as a substitute fielder for the opposition! 03.01.2022 Marist College Canberra's James Haley is Cricket ACT’s Junior Cricket Male Cricketer of the Year for 2019/20! James’s on-field performances speak for themselv...es. Last year he had 13 innings with 439 runs at the incredible average of 109.75 and a strike rate of 135.5. He also took 25 wickets with an average of 7.40, a strike rate of 15.2 and an economy rate of 2.92. Last season Marist’s U14 Division 1 team, which has historically been very strong, had five new players join the team. James was a unanimous choice as Captain and despite being a quiet young man, his leadership and sportsmanship are second to none. James always encourages his teammates and genuinely celebrates their successes. At times James sacrificed his own game to help them improve. An example of this was when he scored a half century in the second game of the season from just 32 balls before selflessly retiring himself and cheering on his teammates from the sidelines. Most importantly, James also led by example in showing respect to umpires and the opposition, setting the tone for the rest of the team and earning a reputation as a tough but fair team to play against. On ya, James! You’re a stellar example of what we love to see in our cricket community!

01.01.2022 As the Cricket Presentation evening had to be postponed due to COVID-19, presentations were made this week to the students who participated in the 2019-2020 Mar...ist Canberra Cricket Club season. Congratulations to all of the award recipients, including those receiving the major awards: Senior Cricketer of the Year Jack S Junior Cricketer of the Year - James the inaugural Junior School Cricketer of the Year - Jack W, and acknowledgement of First XI Captain Sam M who became the Club’s highest run scorer.
