22.01.2022 Lucky enough to live by the river or sea. We also do houses!! Installed a wind monitoring station in this house yesterday watch on by a sea eagle. Must be a sign. Go West Coast!!

22.01.2022 Did you know we can provide on water support as well. We have a share in a Shockwave Powercat which we use for on water electronic demonstrations as well as the odd call out support for vessels needing electrical/electronic assistance at Rottnest and surrounding waters. Saturday afternoon we had the need to attend a vessel in Catherine bay. The shockwave power cat got us there and back in good time in a stiff SW breeze. Dont let a broken water pump or battery issues ruin your Rottnest holiday. Call us if you need on water support.

22.01.2022 Just finished upgrading some old Simrad screens in a Bertram 70" NSO processor with dual 19" touch screens. Shipwright work carried out by NorthPort Marine services. Make old look new!!

16.01.2022 A first in Australia and possibly in the world. We are currently under way with a dual "new technology" Simrad "Halo" radar installation on a research vessel. Stay tuned for updates on the progress shortly. http://www.simrad-yachting.com/e/Products/Radar/HALO-Radar/

16.01.2022 Many years ago Maritime Electronics operated from a small shack on the end of a pier in FBH. (You can see it in the back ground) if you dropped a capacitor or a diode it fell through the pier cracks and into the drink. This week starts a new era for us. We have moved!! We are now operational from our new premises at 24b Bowen St OConnor. Our phone numbers are the same. Our new internal workshop should be completed soon where we can work on large and small trailer boats under cover with everything at our finger tips to complete the job to the highest standard.

15.01.2022 A photo extracted from the blog from RV Whale Song. Simrad BSM-3 with a 1kW B265 chirp transducer. Not bad picking the bottom up in 2250 mtrs of water. More on this vessel to follow! http://www.cwr.org.au/cetacean-season-2015-66.html

14.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/fremantlesearescue/posts/1237345349609192:0 A good example of Raymarine Flir thermal cameras used by Fremantle Volunteer Sea Rescue group for night time situations. In the thermal picture on the bottom you can see the heat glow from the engine room bay. From this you can see how strong their boats are built with the stringers or ribs very close together visible.

14.01.2022 Another nice big cat from #outlawboats Featuring a pair of the New 12"raymarine axioms, quantum radar and autopilot from Maritime Electronic Services.

09.01.2022 Strong currents/tides vs wind in Broome. Something we dont get in Freo but a new Raymarine solenoid ACU-300 made easy work of it.

09.01.2022 Currently at fsc. Might do that mast climb later!!

07.01.2022 This award is not possible with out the dedication from my wonderful staff. So proud to be named "Raymarine Service Dealer of Australia 2015. Thanks to Tony, Barb, Will,Nancy and Jac

04.01.2022 We had a chance to play with Raymarines new Axiom display with an RV-100 transducer. This transducer is an all in one: side-sidvision, down-vision, real-vision 3D and 600watt chirp transducer. These were a quick run over the D-9 in Cockburn sound. Out of all the 3D sounders I have used the Raymarines version with built-in AHRS (attitude and heading reference system in the transducer) is the smoothest Ive seen.

04.01.2022 Have an old Raytheon/Raymarine system? Retro fitting is easy when Raytheon/Raymarine is on board. Riv upgrade this week. Swapped out rl80c for new gS165, added a Rmk-9 remote keypad and p70s new style pilot head for an old st6001+.

02.01.2022 Love this time of year!!

02.01.2022 Hello, Hello any one there!!!! Is your two way radio working ready for summer?? Out with the old and in with the new. For safety reasons get your radio checked ready for summer. Ps. This boat goes 1/2 a knot faster now the weight of this radio was removed today!!#dontmakethemliketheyusedto

01.01.2022 Last week I was on board Kirby Marines latest vessel to commission the interface between Sea Stars latest steering system "Optimus" and Raymarines "Can buss" Evo 2 pilot. Well it just worked perfectly. Very little calibration required. Raymarine sends the command to the "Optimus" and the independent helm pumps drive the motor direction- all fly by wire.
