23.01.2022 Crossed the Rio Grande into Mexico by row boat and rode to the village on horseback on the dirt freeway and arrived to meet some wonderful people. Another day we will never forget.

22.01.2022 The sport of cutting has created so many opportunities beyond the pen. Travel is one of them.

16.01.2022 One Electra Pepto.Sire One Roan Pepto. Dam Electra. Bred by Loretta Payne and purchased from Joe Fisher, this little mare moves so nice on a cow and has such a kind heart. She will shine this year, and I also should say that our grand daughter April just loves her.

14.01.2022 During the 1980's there were two major campdrafts held each year being the Warwick Gold Cup and the Macleay Challenge. In 1980 my pop won the Macleay Challenge Cup riding 'Clinker'. He was also a member of the team known as "The Has Beens" due to their age. They went on to win the Macleay Challenge team's campdraft the same year, perhaps not so "has been". I might add the lineup photo depicts five of the finest horsemen to grace the Macleay Valley.

13.01.2022 I visited my pop in Kempsey yesterday as it was his 100th birthday on Wednesday the 9th. It seems so empty to me that his whole life is represented by the gap between the two dates of his birth and death. This is my pop, Roy Langham, a Horseman, a Cattleman, a great campdraft rider and a much loved family man and mate.

12.01.2022 So this was the horse that started my passion for cow horses, Stanton Stud Breeze. I travelled with John Stanton as a teenager, he gave me the opportunity to ride this great mare in junior drafts. Not many people had this chance, and I have always thanked him for allowing me to campdraft her.

10.01.2022 One more Chardonnay winning the $15,000 Novice Horse at Dorrigo. This little mare, known at home as Toothpick, has been with us since she was two year old. We purchased her from John Beasley and she was started by Rick Kickham who did a great job on her. She's by One Moore Senior out of Bays Chardonnay. Roger Wagner trained Bays Chardonnay for the Futurity and we went to his place to try to buy her but couldn't get the deal done, so when her daughter came up, I wasn't going to let her get away. She is definitely a part of our family.

09.01.2022 Lilian Macrae or just "Macrae" ticks both boxes, considered family and also friend. She has the passion and the drive to excel in this sport. Lilian represented Australian Cutting Horse Group in Texas, USA as an ambassador and exceeded all expectations. Proud to have her in our tribe.

09.01.2022 Have known Mick McKeown since 1976. I went to Kempsey high school with Mick, then pony club, followed by campdrafting and I suppose we have been doing the sport of cutting for the last 25 years. Good mate and probably my oldest mate. If I had to describe Mick to any one that doesn't know him, well he never stops moving, never stops thinking, and there's never a dull moment when Micks around. Loves his horses and cattle.

07.01.2022 RD Langham. Pop. Happy 100th Birhday, so much love and admiration.

07.01.2022 Mike Combs owner and rider of Cool Dual Rey.

07.01.2022 April our granddaughter on One Electra Pepto, also know on the farm as April's little grey mare.

06.01.2022 Terry Clifford, good friend, this man has helped me the most with my Cutting Horse training. Has never held anything back with his knowledge, when I asked questions he spent the time answering them. From Australia he travelled over to a foreign country, United States, as young man with not a lot money, worked a lot of hours, rode lots of horses, studied breeding lines and stayed committed to the sport of cutting. He now has a solid Cutting Horse business, nice property and a great family. I take my hat off to Terry. In my eyes he is a success story.

06.01.2022 One of our Texas trips, heading to Abilene. Ronny was right at home with the big silver truck and gooseneck.

05.01.2022 Spins Huntress. We purchased her off Terry Clifford and from the day I saw her I loved her. On one of his trips to Australia Terry purchased a Spinifex Stallion and took him back to Texas. So on one of my first trips to Texas, I saw her and asked Terry her breeding. That's how a Spinifex granddaughter got to be in Texas. After our last trip we purchased her and got her ready for the World Finals in Belton Texas. She is such an athlete with such a pretty move on a cow. We run 2nd in the first round and ended up making the top ten in the world finals. As per usual I fell in love with her and found a wonderful partner and home for her in Burnett Texas with Allie Hunter Venne. She now has a colt foal at foot by Cool Dual Rey. All concerned are very excited to have him safely on the ground.

05.01.2022 My mate Jonesy, also know as Jason Jones. He came to our first Cutting in Dorrigo and was one of our first sponsors at our Armidale show when he and his wife Kylie owned Horse Land Armidale. A likeable fun bloke, always up for a chat on the phone and a great dad. In his younger days I consider him to have been the Australian equivalent to Pepper Lewis (the cowboy way). It's always fun with Jonesy.

05.01.2022 Mike Combs, good mate, President of the ACHA and might I say a very good President. These two photos describe him to a tee. Having passion and commitment to the sport of Cutting through training, breeding and helping clients. The second photo is with his grandson Toby, who travels with him to shows. Mike is a great family man and gentleman which is hard to find in today's world.

01.01.2022 My good mate Ronny Mann has helped me in every step of the way in the sport of cutting and we have had some good wins and adventures along the way. He has dedicated a good part of his life helping people to get started in our sport. So here's a big THANK YOU for all your help and advice.

01.01.2022 Well our first show of the year at the new Dorrigo indoor arena was most successful. I would like to thank all our cattle donors and all the sponsors for a fantastic cutting. Our horses tried hard and we had a great day. I would like to thank our clients and also Lilian Macrae for all your help and hard work over the couple of weeks leading up to the show. It was such an honour to win the first Pine Johnson Memorial Snafflebit Cutting for the year. A big thank you to Hemp for Horses for a great product and your continued support. Below: Eastern Falls Negotiate, owned by Laurie Darby, winner of the Pine Johnson Memorial Open Snafflebit Cutting.

01.01.2022 In the Nineties we would send our weaners to Robert Baldwin's property at Tamworth where he would work them, we would leave them there for three months and then we would sell them. One weekend I decided to go out to Tamworth and see how they were going. When I got there he had Docs Misty Morn saddled up for me and away we went. Now let me tell you, Docs Misty Morn was a fully imported trained mare and in her time was the most outstanding mare in the Cutting pen in this country. So as we inspected the steers he said " do you want to take them to the pen and work the old mare?" At this stage I had never ridden a trained cutting horse one handed and to be given this opportunity is one that I will never forget.

25.12.2021 Eastern Falls Percentage. I was very fortunate to win the 2008 NCHA Snafflebit Futurity on this mare at Tamworth. It was the first step toward a fantastic journey into this wonderful sport of cutting which has given me so much joy. I took great pleasure in giving this mare to my daughter Taylah and she cares for beautifully.

23.12.2021 Calculation, By Calculator out of a Romeo Mare. She's 18 year old this year and an absolute cow horse. She was my first horse that I started out on in the cutting pen. We started out in the Snafflebit classes and progressed from there. Her campdraft career was a good one, she had won one Maiden, Two Novice and Three Opens before we decided to change direction and go cutting. She is a horse that just loves working cattle, and so much fun to ride on a cow. She is in foal this year and we can't wait to see what she has.

16.12.2021 SOLD: A quality mare that anyone can ride. $16,000 plus gst Video in comments For details please contact Mark Watt 0476 929 762
