24.01.2022 FIRST HOME LOAN DEPOSIT SCHEME NEW PLACES! The First Home Loan Deposit scheme will be extended with 10,000 new places from October 6th, with the same 27 lenders participating as in the first round. I have access to four of these. All the new places will be for people BUILDING new homes. The Government will guarantee larger loans, as new homes are generally more expensive. The upper cap for Brisbane will increase to $650,000.... The FHLDS is an Australian Government initiative, introduced to help first home buyers purchase a home sooner. It does this by providing a guarantee that will allow eligible first home buyers on low & middle incomes to purchase a home with a deposit of as little as 5% (genuine savings). No cash is exchanged. The scheme simply guarantees your loan so that you do not have to pay Lenders Mortgage Insurance (saving you thousands). This scheme may be used in conjunction with QLD State First Homeowner’s Grant, HomeBuilder grant & QLD Stamp Duty Concession Minimal stamp duty for land purchases under $250K or new finished home under $500K.
