25.01.2022 Paul Bayliss father, who was also named Paul Bayliss, served in World War II. Like many from his generation Paul Sr, who was underage, sneaked his way into being enlisted. There was no question he wanted to defend our freedoms. Paul Sr sadly passed away just before Christmas last year. He was a regular at the Semaphore and Port Adelaide RSL and Dawn Service and the Gunfire Breakfast that follows.... On behalf of the government I presented Paul Jr with a medallion to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.

24.01.2022 The latest in a long line of tough days for aviation workers. This didn’t have to happen - Scott Morrison needs a plan for aviation. Instead of developing a plan for aviation, the Morrison Government has denied support to airports, denied JobKeeper to Dnata workers, allowed Virgin Australia to fall into administration and failed to act as Qantas sacked thousands of workers.... My thoughts are with all the workers and their families.

16.01.2022 Ive been calling out the deterioration of human rights in Cambodia for years and unfortunately these concerns havent abated with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cambodian union leader Rong Chhun has been arrested and faces up to two years in prison. Other arrests include political leader Khmer Win, as well as youth activists Hun Vannak and Chhoeun Daravy.... The European Commission is taking action against Cambodia - Australia must do our part. Labor has called for an Australian Magnitsky Act to send a strong signal to those committing human rights abuses abroad. The Morrison Government must stand up for human rights in Cambodia.
