14.01.2022 iOS 14... like it or not, it’s making things more difficult for FB advertisers. What was once a 28-day attribution window is now 7 days... #frustrating! What does this mean? If your ads drive a sale outside of 7 days, FB will not attribute that sale to your ad. The result? A declining ROAS (particularly for long customer journey offers like high ticket ecommerce brands). UNLESS! You can prove the sale came from your ad. The good news? There are certainly tools out there t...o help you understand the true ROAS of your ads. So between iOS14 and increasing traffic costs... when I get asked whether there still a place for the likes of FB ads... The answer is yes, 1 million times over. FB ads / Instagram ads are your primary traffic source. In short they are what will drive your growth.

Getting a client in the door the very first time can be challenging ... but once they like, know and trust you, it becomes a lot easier to help them again... and therefore, to sell to them again.... So what is that first paid experience you can give your audience that will deliver them value and keep them coming back for more?

On the one hand, we have the law of reciprocity that would tend to work in your favour as a business... give your audience something for free - and they will have the urge to give you something in return: cue pay for your services. Here’s our 2 cents on ‘free’ when it comes to your business and marketing strategy: A free lead magnet like a PDF or webinar or small upfront one-off discount in return for an email address is fine. Everyone wins and these are the sort of interactions that will enable you to nurture your prospects with the view to drive them down your sales funnel. Don’t give your time away for free unless you’re doing this for very qualified leads. Be weary of giving too much for free in general as your audience will come to expect this. You are in the drivers seat on how you indoctrinate your audience; don’t forget this.

Let’s cut to the chase; here’s your Marketing 101 lesson for the day You need to know exactly WHO your ideal client is before investing in any paid traffic marketing. And we’re not just talking about ‘kind of having an idea about who these people are.’ ... But instead, it’s about getting up close and personal with your client avatar... that ideal client who loves doing business with YOU and vice versa! Give that person a name, understand where they live exactly, what they do for a living, how old they are; get the nitty gritty on their demographic profile. And then expand on their psychographics; what are their greatest pleasures when it comes to your offering? and what about their pain points? What keeps them up at night when it comes to what you do? And how can you help put their mind at ease and solve their problem? Get your people sorted. It’s the first step in getting anywhere with your marketing strategy
