21.01.2022 Its Rightsizing Australian Prime Residential Insight 2020 report found the Gold Coast, at 26 per cent, had the highest portion of apartment sales between $3 million and $5 million across Australia’s largest cities over the past three years to September 2019. Marketing Projects South East Queensland managing director Kyia Anderson said more buyers were considering apartment living on the Gold Coast. People who want a three-bedroom apartment are generally people who come fro...m a house and still want to live in a large space but they want the convenience of apartment living as well as all the nearby amenities and infrastructure, she said. We’re still getting lots of corporate professionals who are time poor and don’t want to have the extra maintenance, as well as young families. 18.01.2022 @walkwithusgc are an amazing local charity who feed the homeless and those in need on Monday evenings in Burleigh Heads. We promoted this organisation through spending just $80 (of our own money) asking locals for donations of blankets and sleeping bags (that we collected and delivered to a charity member). We donated our time and money and then implemented the ‘all-mighty’ targeted digital social media campaign........the results were outstanding. ... Results achieved: - 7x people volunteered to help weekly in the kitchen by cooking and serving meals and cleaning up - 7x sleeping bags and 35 blankets were donated by locals, collected by us and delivered to the charity. We were not approached to commence a campaign for them, this was a simple initiative for us to help. We have not collected money in any way and recommend anyone wishing to donate funds to go directly to the charity. 16.01.2022 ‘While many of us are in the comfort of our warm new homes, my neighbor Kerrie selflessly donates her time to help the homeless with the Walk With Us Charity every week. She bakes food for them to eat on a Monday evening and cleans up afterwards with other volunteers of the charity. If you can help, they need food (pre-cooked food in little sandwhich bags due to the Covid situation safe food handling and packaging is essential for these people to eat). ... They also need sleeping bags or blankets to keep warm on these really cold nights. If you can help those most vulnerable in our community by donating any of the above let me know and I will pass on. This evening was my first time donating food to pass onto Kerrie to hand out and it feels really good. I hope some of my friends and family can also join me next time and together we can all make a difference. 03.01.2022 Our managing director, Kyia Anderson is a part time Carer for her beautiful son Lucas who has been struggling with various physical and phsyco-social disabilities after significant brain damage suffered at birth. Lucas’ brain has recovered so much that doctors called him a ‘miracle baby’, never expecting him to be able to survive, let alone walk or go to a public school. Lucas is a strong boy with a caring heart and most cannot even tell the hardships he went through and con...tinues to go through. In the last 12 months, Lucas has gained access to government funding and support services through the NDIS to assist him with early intervention and he has come such a long way. Lucas has some extra special abilities and some refer to Lucas as ‘the little genius’ because when he becomes so deeply engaged in something, he becomes the ‘expert’ at it. Kyia’s experience has inspired us on a background project to deliver housing solutions for people living with disabilities, aswell as assisting developers to adapt disability friendly apartments through NDIS into their projects. Many young people with high support needs are currently being placed into aged care, due to not having anywhere else to go. Please watch this amazing movie ‘Peanut Butter Falcon’ - it highlights this important issue of the forgotten ones, the young people with disabilities living in nursing homes who we need to help.
