25.01.2022 Branded content is more than a sales message, however, sales can certainly leverage from it. Branded content is people oriented so it has the power to provoke deeper reflections in society about outdated concepts. Used for provoking deeper conversation, branded content must be relevant with the times, be truthful and be of meaning to people. Branded content places audiences as the heros in the narrative and not the brand or the product. Focus on producing 'human stories that are culture driven'. (The Blake Project, 11 March 19). #branding #marketing #content #brandedcontent #peoplestories #culture #humanstories #brands #marketer #brandmarketing

19.01.2022 Who do you know? People like to do business with people they trust, so it is no brainer that referrals are one of the best ways to generate new business. Leverage from your existing relationships and expand your networking efforts, here are some tips you can implement to grow your business. 1) Attending networking events that are not necessarily within your field (If you are a marketer, go to non-marketing events) These events can lead to new business opportunities.... 2) Local community involvement - emerge yourself in your new environment and network with local businesses. 3) Feature your work in social media. Talk about what you do, and any great projects or awards you have won. You should also feature your customer's wins because of your work or the benefits they are getting from your work. 4) Set meetings with potential clients. Set a coffee, Linkedin, Skype or facetime meeting. No matter the location, reach out to people with the intention to learn about their needs and bring value to them. 5) Be consistent and strategic. Time is the most valuable resource we have, so be selective in your networking activities. Once you have selected your communication channels and events to obtain more referrals, stick to them, it takes time to increase your profile and build a reliable and trustful relationship. By being consistent, you will reap the rewards from your networking initiatives. #marketing #businessreferrals #Business #growyourbusiness #businessgrowth #strategy #networking

04.01.2022 Running your own business is exciting but can also be challenging when dealing with overdue payments. This year, set a plan to deal with late paying clients and tracking down payments, here are some tips to help you tackle overdue invoices and ensure you get paid. 1) Send an "OVERDUE PAYMENT REMINDER" referencing the invoice the day after the payment is due and give the client simple guidelines of how they can quickly pay you. 2) If the client fails to pay within one week of ...the first overdue payment, send a second email from your Account's department (Set one up if you don't have an accounts department). 3) After two weeks from the first reminder, make direct contact with the client via phone or text message requesting payment and try to understand the reasons why he/she is not paying on time. 4) After three weeks from the first reminder, call the client again and explain firmly they need to pay and that any outstanding and future works will require prepayment. 5) After four weeks from the first reminder, determine if you wish to continue working with this client and if it will be beneficial to terminate the account best, cancelling works and obtaining payment. 6) You can also offer the client payment options 7) When booking a new client, you can get their credit card details as a final resource to settling the account. Include this in your contract as a last resource for resolving the outstanding invoices, set a specified date (after three weeks) and include a processing percentage fee. 8) Make it clear that overdue payment will incur a hefty late payment fee. Make sure you make this clear to them from the outset and remind the client of this in your communications. You can also have a bank account for these types of situations, to save you from missing payments due to cash flow. Hopefully, you won't find yourself in this situation, but it is best to be well prepared. So what do you think, do you have any additional tips on how you've dealt with clients not paying on time? #business #marketing #smallbusiness #overduepayments #SME #businesssolutioins #businesstips
