24.01.2022 Markets Update - After consultation with the NSW COVID Hotline specifically about the operation of the Oberon Markets, the Committee have with regret made the decision to cancel the October Markets. There are many requirements which must be complied with in order to safely start the Markets up again including but not limited to - a limit of 112 people in the hall at any one time, (this number includes stall holders), barriers to be erected around all stalls so that customers... remain 1.5m from the serving stall holder; all stalls selling any type of food to have their own COVIDSafe Plan; signage on the ground (both inside and outside) to ensure a one-way flow of people traffic and marshals to prevent anyone from forming a group or cluster. While the Committee fully understands the reasons for these requirements we simply do not have the resources to manage / comply with the guidelines as they stand at present. We are also not willing to take a risk by not complying with the requirements. So unfortunately until these restrictions are lifted our Markets cannot resume.

23.01.2022 The March Markets are on this coming weekend. All of our lovely regular stall holders will be there and some fabulous new ones. Heaps of variety, tasty food and great coffee. Its a great way to spend the morning.

14.01.2022 Markets Update - The Markets Committee, (who are just a very small group of volunteers) have undertaken a risk assessment in line with the current public health orders regarding non-food markets and have determined that the September Markets will not go ahead. Unfortunately we simply do not have the resources in place to properly monitor and control the number of visitors to the Markets to ensure we meet all of the COVIDSafe plan requirements, especially those relating to the maintenance of physical distancing. We will continue to monitor the public health information regarding markets and will let you know when the markets can start up again. Stay safe.

11.01.2022 Don’t forget that the December / Christmas Markets are on this Saturday, 5 December between 9.00am - 1.00pm at the Showgrounds. Hartley Harvest and Down to Earth meats are back and there will be some lovely locally grown garlic for sale. Get in quick for your Ellaby Ponds fruit cake, marmalade from the Marmalady or grab yourself some lovely baked goods from Diane Hotham or the the Koudrans. If all that food has got you hungry then pop on over to the Show Society stall for a sausage sandwich.

09.01.2022 Markets still on - lots of indoor stalls so these will be set up even if it rains. Jams, plants, wooden toys, jewellery, cakes, coffee - worth a trip up to the Showground to support the local community.

02.01.2022 The April Markets are fast approaching, so hop on down to the Showgrounds on Easter Saturday, 3 April and grab yourself some lovely goodies. You never know you may just spot the Easter Bunny!

02.01.2022 Only two more sleeps until the February Markets. Lots of lovely locally grown and made goodies to buy from our fabulous stall holders. So pop on down to the Showgrounds on Saturday 6 February between 9.00-1.00 and buy up big.

01.01.2022 Oberon Markets - Showground, Ross Street Plants, fresh bread, clothing, garlic, chutneys, jams, sewing, jewellery, cakes, Fresh meat, succulents and more................ Definitely worth a visit to our Markets!
