25.01.2022 Yesterday Queensland Treasurer Cameron Dick MP released Queenslands COVID-19 Fiscal and Economic Review. Part of that review includes a new $500 million Backing Queensland Investment Fund which will support good quality businesses that need capital to create Queensland jobs. As well as significant strategic investments, the Backing Queensland Business Investment Fund will target investments in businesses that:... are small and medium businesses based in Queensland; will create Queensland-based jobs; have a proven product and defined market opportunity but require significant capital to aggressively build scale or grow market share; are relatively mature, well beyond proof of concept and are profitable or approaching profitability; are seeking capital to expand or restructure operations, enter new markets or finance significant acquisition; and have well established and reputable owners who are committed to growing the business from and in Queensland.
25.01.2022 Cynthia Lui MP - Member for Cook and I dropped in on Angela Nason of Tablelands To Tabletop at Mareeba. Angela is one of our wonderful #eatqld Champions because of her great initiative and support for fresh Queensland produce and the farmers who produce it. #qldpol #qldvotes #qldjobs
25.01.2022 BREAKING: Happening now
24.01.2022 So the LNP have been silent on their contemptuous conduct of how they handled our aged, those disembarking the Ruby Princes and over 25,000 Australians wishing to return home. Yet they chose to play politics with the safe approach our Premier and the CHO in keeping our borders safe from this pandemic. The LNP are the same whether Federal our Sate. Dont risk them this Queensland election 31 October.
24.01.2022 A marvellous initiative by Great Western Super Centre in support of R U OK Day. Asking the question, "Are you OK?" can change, or even save, someones life.
24.01.2022 And that’s a wrap @ Mitchelton SHS 65th Annual Awards Night with Principal John Searle.
23.01.2022 Good morning Ferny Grove #furner4fernygrove #qldpol
23.01.2022 I am incredibly humbled to receive the notification this afternoon from the Electoral Commission of Queensland that Ferny Grove has been officially declared. Thank you for your support and for your faith in me and my team. We look forward to another four years of hard work delivering for the electorate of Ferny Grove.
23.01.2022 LNP would have to slash thousands of public sector jobs to honour its promise to slash Queensland's $8.1 billion spending deficit within four years. They did it in 2012 they will do it again if we are unfortunate to see them in government again.
22.01.2022 Lest we forget.
22.01.2022 Great to join Craig Crawford MP in Cairns this afternoon to announce a re-elected. Palaszczuk Labor Government will invest $1m to help the Young Animal Protection Society upgrade its facilities and continue its great work. #qldpol #qldvotes
22.01.2022 Don’t worry girls and boys, Santa is good to go for Christmas! Santa and his reindeer have been given special permission to visit Queensland and deliver pressies this year. Children are encouraged to put out treats, but make sure you wash your hands beforehand!
22.01.2022 What a marvellous performance by Marist College Ashgrove!
21.01.2022 This week our Premier has faced a relentless barrage from the LNP and some in the media trying to get her to adopt the LNP policy of opening the borders. For eight months the Queensland Government has made sound decisions based on the health advice of the Chief Health Officer to protect Queensland lives and Queensland jobs. They can attempt to bully and intimidate but it wont work.... Lets send them a message back. LIKE and SHARE if you back Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP - I know I do!
21.01.2022 What a great day to be out campaigning for the return of a Labor government in Queensland led by the brilliant Annastacia Palaszczuk MP! #DayOfAction #Furner4fernygrove
21.01.2022 The Queensland CHO has been amazing protecting Queenslanders during this pandemic, we all should be thankful for her strong determination.
20.01.2022 Congratulations to our communitys new authors at Mitchelton State High School!
20.01.2022 Ferny Grove High School Hospitality students have been cooking up a storm in the newly refurbished kitchens. The provision of these amazing new facilities means the school can offer Certificate Qualifications to Ferny Grove SHS students.
20.01.2022 Applications have opened for the next round of funding under the Queensland Arts Showcase Program (QASP), to support exciting and accessible arts and cultural experiences in Queensland by individuals, organisations and collectives. Funding is available through three streams: Arts Accelerate- new works Arts Activate- diverse arts and cultural initiatives ... Arts Advantage- arts-led projects, which provide social benefits to Queenslanders The Palaszczuk Government is implementing nearly $60 million worth of initiatives to support the arts and cultural sector through the impacts of COVID-19, including a $22.5 million Arts and Cultural Recovery Package. The Recovery Package is a down payment on Creative Together 2020-2030: A 10-Year Roadmap for arts, culture and creativity in Queensland.
20.01.2022 Wage theft is now a crime in Queensland. It affects one in four Queenslanders. Everyone deserves a fair days pay for a fair days work.
20.01.2022 Local Trains, Local Jobs for Queenslanders
19.01.2022 Especially during a global pandemic, its OK not to be OK. However, every Queenslander deserves support when they reach out for help. Thats why the Palaszczuk Government has given out over $28 million in grants to support community health services, and its why weve now committed a further $46.5 million to keep this support going. #ruokday
19.01.2022 Our strong Economic Recovery Plan for Queensland is focused on building infrastructure, kickstarting manufacturing, and keeping our local businesses open. All of this is based on our strong health response. Now's not the time to risk the cuts of Deb Frecklington and the LNP, with their track record of sacking local nurses and plans to team up with Clive Palmer to force open our borders.... I’m asking for your support so we can stick to the plan and keep Queenslanders safe as we work together to recover from COVID-19.
18.01.2022 BREAKING: Queensland borders will open to the Australian Capital Territory at 1am on Friday, September 25.
18.01.2022 Its a great day to be out campaigning for the return of the Palaszczuk Government! Thank you to the best volunteer crew in town. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP #Furner4fernygrove
18.01.2022 On Friday I hosted a barbecue and tour of Parliament House for the school captains of Newmarket State School, Grovely State School, Oakleigh State School & St Williams Grovely. This is something I do every year with all the schools in the Ferny Grove Electorate. Like most, this batch were full of questions - some of them very intelligent, I might add. I am sure there are some future parliamentarians in here - like Leonard from Newmarket SS.
18.01.2022 4 more years with this amazing woman, Queensland’s Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk @annastaciamp
17.01.2022 Was good to catch up with locals at the Ferny Grove Upper Kedron Residents Association this afternoon. @fgukmagazine
16.01.2022 Very positive feedback on the Transit Orientation Development here at Ferny Grove Markets. Also lots of appreciation for the Premier in keeping Queenslanders safe during this pandemic. #qldpols Annastacia Palaszczuk MP
16.01.2022 Proud to join Japanese Consul General in Brisbane Tanaka San in a cook-off to mark the occasion of our first ever virtual trade mission. This was an incredible three-day effort, supported by Trade and Investment Queensland, where 25 Queensland businesses were able to show off their produce and gain exposure to the Japanese market using technology. Thanks also to BCEC executive chef and #eatqld Champion David Pugh for his guidance on the grill. We even had a digital audience with Iron Chef French Hiroyuki Sakai! This was followed by a visit to Ayr to open a new retractable-roof greenhouse that will be used to grow Queensland produce for export to Japan #eatqld
15.01.2022 Our health response to COVID-19 means that we are getting on with the job of delivering Qlds plan for economic recovery. It will mean more jobs and infrastructure for Ferny Grove as we build our economy together. #COVID19au #qldpol

13.01.2022 I recently visited Reform Studios on Blackwood Street in Mitchelton, to congratulate them on being successful in securing a COVID Adaptation Grant. These grants have been provided by the Palaszczuk Government to help small businesses meet operational costs, in providing a safe environment to suit the new Covid normal. I met with Leigh who is one of the studios long time trainers. ... Reform studio is a boutique gym where every member is part of their community. I think its a great little gym that I intend on trying myself when I have some downtime. Drop in or call to book an introductory session. Remember that by supporting our businesses we are supporting our local economy. #supportinglocalbusiness #uniteandrecover #qldjobs
13.01.2022 Great to catch up with Michael Hornby from The Common Good Au this morning. With the help of the Palaszczuk Government they raised $359,000 from sales of their strawberry sundaes for much needed research into covid-19 and other diseases. Quality Queensland produce supporting quality medical research.

12.01.2022 This year's graduating class did it the hard way. First full cohort to begin Prep and then transition Year 7 into High School. The first to sit ATAR. Oh, and the first class in over a hundred years to graduate during a pandemic. The future is yours, and based on how you have done so far, I have faith you are up to the task. Well done!
11.01.2022 Pre poll voting commences Monday @ Dallas Pde Keperra from 9am. See you there.
11.01.2022 BREAKING: New requirements are in place after a person from the eastern suburbs of Sydney tested positive to COVID-19. Find the list of locations here: health.q...ld.gov.au/tracing Anyone in Queensland who has been to the locations during the specified times is asked to quarantine at home or their accommodation. Please also call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) and get tested as soon as possible. The list of NSW exposure sites will be updated as more information becomes available.
10.01.2022 Supporting community clubs and activities is an important matter to me. As we all know that physical activity improves cognitive function, memory and behavior. Which is why our bowls clubs are an integral part of our community as they provide recreational activities that can be enjoyed by the elderly in our community. Last week, I was very happy to deliver a community grant to the Gaythorne bowls club. Alan Albury and John Darlington told me that the funds would be used to cover the costs of much needed repairs to the window glazing for the club house.
10.01.2022 BREAKING: Queensland borders will reopen to Greater Sydney from December 1.
10.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day from Mitchie Markets #fathersday @janpowersfarmersmarkets
10.01.2022 Earlier this year the Palaszczuk Government provided $200 off Queenslanders power bills as part of the COVID household relief package. Now nearly two million Queensland households will see another $50 taken off their electricity bills from this month as a dividend from Queenslands publicly owned power assets. Since 2015 this government has lowered power prices, returned money to Queenslanders and invested in large-scale renewable energy because we have kept Queenslands energy assets in public hands.
10.01.2022 Its a tough job keeping Queenslanders safe through the global COVID-19 pandemic. Even the founder of the LNP recognises what a great job Annastacia Palaszczuk MP is doing for our state. https://bit.ly/35wnmGY
10.01.2022 Its in the LNPs DNA.
10.01.2022 Plenty of waves and toots this morning #qldpol #furner4fernygrove
09.01.2022 Queenslands strong borders and strong health response are saving Queensland lives and saving Queensland jobs. Thats good news for our recovery which is well underway and were creating jobs to help Queensland bounce back with our economic plan and stimulus spending. Thank you Team Queensland.
09.01.2022 Our strong health response to this pandemic has allowed us to open up more of our economy. Our economic recovery plan is already underway and our economic rebound from COVID-19 is forecast to be twice as strong as the Australian average But theres still more to do. ... Thousands of businesses across our state are still doing it tough. So were easing their burden by delivering: an additional $249 million in payroll tax relief for small and medium businesses a $500 million investment in publicly owned renewable energy assets a $500 million Backing Queensland Business Investment Fund #qldjobs #covid19au
08.01.2022 I joined former MasterChef Australia stars Michael Weldon and Courtney Roulston and sizzled some great Queensland beef at the Coles stand at #Beef2021 #eatqld #qldpol #qldag Beef Australia Talk about flavour! What else do you expect from world class Queensland beef?

06.01.2022 Bryant Building Contractors are making fantastic progress on the $12 million Performing Arts Complex at Ferny Grove SHS. The roof has now been put on the construction and the shape of the new auditorium is emerging.

06.01.2022 We have seen her work before with Campbell Newman, don't risk the LNP this election.
05.01.2022 The Palaszczuk Government has made education infrastructure a priority. In our local community the State Government has built 30 new school classrooms and renovated a further 24 since taking office in 2015 with a further 20 new classrooms under construction or being planned today. This means better learning environments for our kids and more local jobs.
04.01.2022 I am really looking forward to seeing some of the proposals which will come out of this year's YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament. Last week I caught up with the Ferny Grove Youth Member Nick Deevy. Nick is a very switched on young man with exciting ideas and a passion to serve. Great work Nick!

03.01.2022 Was great to catch up with constituents in my mobile office at Ferguson park today. Was a beautiful day to get to meet people out in the park. I will be having more of these mobile offices around the electorate in the weeks following, so if you would like to catch with me, watch my page and I will announce dates and times.
02.01.2022 Keeping Queensland safe #coronavirus #qldpol
02.01.2022 The starting gun has been fired by the Palaszczuk Government to deliver its plan for economic recovery and supporting our local sporting groups is an important first step. Six of our local sporting clubs are sharing in over $67,000 to assist them in reopening their competitions. This is not an election commitment. This is money which has been provided today. I caught up with Gary Madders from Arana Touch to discuss how the club plans to use the extra injection of funds to help our kids get back on the paddock!
02.01.2022 I know this organisation and can recommend them, despite 67% of Queensland still in drought it’s important we support our farmers. Please get along to this event during the dates and lend them support.
02.01.2022 The Queensland Police Service will have new high-tech cameras, including an expanded fleet of drones to crackdown on hoons. The new technology will add to the existing network of thousands of traffic cameras across the state. The assault on hooning will make it much easier for police to catch hoons and to take strong action against them.... Police will have high-tech night vision capable cameras that can be deployed covertly, operated by an officer, or deployed on a drone. Complementing the new camera technology the Palaszczuk Government is looking to expand existing laws, including shifting the onus of proof onto the vehicle owner. This means if the owner claims they werent driving the vehicle at the time of the offence, it will be up to them to prove it. Putting the onus on the owner, would allow police to take greater advantage of the hooning footage captured by CCTV cameras.
01.01.2022 A truely recognised award to a genuine, professional woman who’s tireless efforts has kept all Queenslanders safe by providing scientific health advice to the Palaszczuk Government. Well done and congratulations Jeannette.
01.01.2022 Hitting the gym is going to be top of my to do list when the elections are over. In the meantime, I am happy to be able to support the Brisbane Rhinos club build up their gym. The club, based Mitchelton, received a $25000 grant from the Community Gambling Benefit fund. Graham Spurr, who is the president of the club, showed me around the ongoing gym refurbishment and some of the new equipment that the club would be installing from the funds of this grant. Congratulations Brisbane Rhinos!
01.01.2022 Great work GYG Arana Hills and great work Oakleigh SS!
01.01.2022 In 2017 I made an election commitment to provide new male and female change rooms and today I am proud to say those change rooms have been delivered! Recently I caught up with Russell Morrison from the Arana Ascot Hockey Club , Perry Hunt from the Ferny Grove Falcons and Andrew Middleton from the Ferny Districts Cricket Club to check out this fantastic new facility. The change rooms will be a life-changer for all the kids who use the Ferny Grove Sports Fields for many... years to come. This project was led by AFL Queensland and was delivered by the Queensland Government with the assistance of Brisbane City Council. - With thanks to Mick de Brenni for Springwood.
01.01.2022 Ferny Grove State School Captains have been closely studying how COVID-19 is changing the way we go about our daily lives. Led by their impressive teacher Ms OConnor, the schools leaders have taken on the challenge presented by the United Nations Association of Australia QLD (UNAA) to consider innovative ways to tackle the UNs Sustainable Development Goals. The students were very moved to realise how fortunate we are to live in Queensland and have been inspired by their e...xperiences to improve the world around them for their generation and generations to come. The UNAA Queenslands goal is to create a safer, fairer, more sustainable world and this year celebrates its 75th anniversary working with Queensland students.
01.01.2022 Thank you to the best bunch of volunteers in town. What a glorious Spring morning to be out campaigning to return a Labor government led by the brilliant Annastacia Palaszczuk MP!
