25.01.2022 Happy Friday Sunny fans and it doesn't get much better than this..... 1973 GX5 1200 5 speed fully restored coupe with some really nice old school upgrades. Dealer is price on application so it won't be a bargain but can ask for anyone who is looking for a Sunny coupe. MHSV specialists in rare & collectible JDM.

24.01.2022 Happy days finally it has arrived. It took 3 months via sea but at only 2,000 yen total postage who's complaining? I called Nissan Australia to order a new shift knob for my clients Australian delivered GTR only to be told no longer available. I telephoned our long term new parts supplier in Japan & they told me a different story. To my pleasant surprise, Nissan Japan can still supply R32 GTR shift knobs. It pays to ring around but it does help if you speak Japanese!!

24.01.2022 Big thanks to Dave at Gaugeworks in Prospect SA for repairing & servicing another instrument cluster for us. They always come back looking like new & turnaround is usually only a 3-5 days. Original factory wheels have been replaced with possibly genuine Watanabe but otherwise this example looks mostly factory original. Price is on application or ASK according to the dealer. 21.01.2022 First business trip in ages. Border restrictions finally easing. Flew to Canberra yesterday to inspect and buy a gorgeous 2 owner Australian delivered BMW 2002 4 speed in rare Turkis. Seller was a great guy & the car was exactly as described. Was very tempted to drive the car home but CEVA depot to depot is only $460 & rain set in so went with them. 21.01.2022 Excited to see a Renault 5 Turbo 2 up today in Tokyo but then suddenly disappointed after reading auction report to see its had a basic resto/paint job for the auction more than likely. Originally not red & there is extensive rust in floor & front compartment. No books or history. I see others have posted this car & described it as "beautiful" which is a worry. Beautiful to look at for sure but MHSV will not be recommending this Turbo 2.

All demonstration models NOT for sale. Toyota nicely controlling the market which they did with the 86 when first released. Be patient & you will be rewarded.....

Dealer asking 3.6 million which is not surprising due to condition and only 54,000 kms. 11.01.2022 Big day Thursday in Tokyo buying a couple of really rare cars but unfortunately was unsuccessful in securing this stunning 1995 NSX in factory manual. Kilometres were low at only 50,000 & condition was a genuine grade 4.5. As you can imagine, competition was intense. Final sale price for future reference was just over 9M yen or approximately AUD 120k to own in Japan. Someone bought well. MHSV - rare & special JDM.

11.01.2022 Always get excited when a grade 4 TME EVO pops up for auction but grade 4 is actually quite broad & it certainly does not mean good condition as is the case with this EVO. A quick look at the auction report tells all & one of the reasons we always include the report. EVO fans will know floors on these cars can be prone to rust, generally if the cars have come from the northern regions of Japan which sees a lot of snow & sadly salt is used on the major roads networks. If you... look at the report & read the warning/problem section on the bottom left it says 3rd from the bottom.... -underbody suspension heavy rust & black paint. -Tyres for snow application -I can also see clear coat issues on the bonnet & W3 on left side means obvious re-spray We do not consider this a grade 4 & would not recommend this car.

09.01.2022 Mini fans this Sprite is for sale & being a 1995 model it can be imported now. Condition looks particularly good & we wouldn't be surprised if very few Sprites were produced. This is likely a very limited production run edition & this example has only travelled 10,000 kms from new. Equipped with factory 4 speed and cool aftermarket 10 inch alloys & in rare white. 08.01.2022 Honda die hards..... Very clean grade 4B Integra Type R sedan up for auction later today in Tokyo. Mileage just over 100,000 kms & condition looks very good. 06.01.2022 Wow team check this out. For sale is a Japan delivered 1983 S1 Golf 2 door in OUTSTANDING grade 4B condition & with very low verifiable mileage. Auction report included as usual. Sure it is an auto but that has probably saved its life & these things in this condition are now very very thin on the ground. Timing belt has been changed & interior is like new. 05.01.2022 Filthy dirty but safely landed & cleared this Integra is possibly the lowest mileage example anywhere. Rarely used the 1.6L 5 speed has only done 10,000 kms since new. It's amazing what you can find in Japan!!

04.01.2022 MHSV inspected this MG RV8 on Thursday & condition was good & as per the inspection report. The car had obviously been substantially modified. They can rust at the base of the steel front window frame but this one had not. Mark knows these well, having exported close to 30 RV8s to both the UK & Australia. Hard to find now and surprisingly this one sold for more than a stock standard car. Final sale price was just over 2M yen.
