01.01.2022 As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, I thought it timely to update our customers on our current position. Our philosophy is to focus on the health and wellbeing of our people, our clients, and our partners as our first priority, and to take an informed approach that is sensible, balanced and respectful of our diverse community. We are doing this by ensuring our approach is always based on the expert medical advice of the Australian Authorities. ... This balanced approach aims to take into account the health and wellbeing impacts of COVID-19 itself, and the secondary consequences of any response we make. To that end, Markinson has initiated a number of measures designed to minimise the potential for health impacts to our collective staff, and to our businesses. These measures include: All non-essential work travel is suspended. Markinson is well-equipped to facilitate remote sessions including video conferencing where required and will leverage this wherever possible in favour of interstate or international travel. Upcoming face-to-face events, such as our MomentumPro roadshow, are cancelled. An online webinar will be organised in place of the roadshow, details to follow. Where practical, staff will be working from home or distributed amongst our offices, to practice social distancing and minimise the impacts should a staff member be diagnosed with COVID-19 Attendance at upcoming trade events, such as Autocare and the Associations Forum, is under review, as these events are scheduled for later in the year. Minimising disruption to our customers is a high priority for us, second only to the health and wellbeing of our people, customers, and partners. Markinson has a full Business Continuity Plan in place and is backed with the financial and organisational resources of Vela and Constellation Software. Be assured that we remain fully operational, our business is stable and we will continue to provide the high quality of service you’ve come to expect from us.
