21.01.2022 The northerly wind is pushing smoke towards Mitto.

19.01.2022 I’m normally a very elegant dog, but it’s hard when it’s just been way too hot... @ Mittagong, New South Wales

19.01.2022 We laid Dad to rest yesterday. Cecil James Kelly 21/02/34 - 19/12/18

18.01.2022 A big art weekend have photo works in 2x exhibitions! This is part of my Thoughts & Prayers series conceived earlier in the year before Covid. Exhibiting with St George's League Photo Club as their mentor this year.

18.01.2022 A backlit dewy spider web is always worth stopping to admire.

18.01.2022 On the back of my 3rd place in the fishing photo competition earlier this year, Flylife decided to run a photo essay. This was an awesome surprise that I also scored the cover shot!! Shoutouts to Mark & Callum @trapped_in_the_film

18.01.2022 Retford Park gardens look fab!! & the weather is much kinder today. Why not visit the gallery for some wonderful works & grab a cuppa. @ Retford Park Bowral

17.01.2022 What a spectacular sky this afternoon! I had been photographing the building clouds earlier but must admit nearly missed the late colour burst. As often happens the best light does not last long (& certainly does not wait while you do your preflight checks before launching the drone)

15.01.2022 Groovy clouds, but that means a change is on the way..

15.01.2022 Jill (my daughters rescue greyhound) must think she has gone to heaven. How’s good is this... Yes, she does have a comfy bed!!

15.01.2022 Lap dog? - well it’s certainly a happy dog in your lap!

14.01.2022 Minnie decided that the sun was nice today. I thought the converging lines was pretty cool!

13.01.2022 Groovy clouds this morning!

12.01.2022 Can’t Hold a Hose Mate - part of my Thoughts & Prayers series...

10.01.2022 Mad sky after mad storm!!

10.01.2022 When the girls party too hard. Jill is definitely a pillow hog!!

09.01.2022 Just a tiny sample of fabulous artworks on display at Retford Park. Come and enjoy the wonderful gardens and checkout our exhibition - there is lots to see and enjoy!

08.01.2022 Double vision?? Our daughter recently fostered another rescue greyhound. He is Wren (on the left). I think the idea was to keep Jill company. Both are such gentle sweet dogs, can’t understand why anyone would treat them badly.

08.01.2022 Travelling into Sydney & the sunset looked like an oil painting.

06.01.2022 Most people in Australia hate carp, & for good reason - they are a huge environmental pest. However, their redeeming feature is that they are great to catch on fly! This is especially true when sight-casting to individual fish. This tractor is a shade under 8kg, & dragged me all over the place.

06.01.2022 Ready to go!! On the back of winning last years Goulburn Art Award winner I have been given the opportunity to exhibit in the Foyer Gallery of the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery. All hung today, ready for the opening tomorrow at 6pm. Shout out to Clayton Hairs for printing, & Black Parrot for framing. My series Ghosts of the past looks fab on the Hahnemuhle William Turner paper! Runs until 29th June.

02.01.2022 The Cricket Will Cheer Them Up - part of my Thoughts & Prayers series.

02.01.2022 Well the Canon Light Awards in Sydney this weekend is over. I attended the creative lighting Masterclass & our brief was to take an everyday ordinary scene & create a story using considered lighting. I was happy with what I could achieve with my available lights.

01.01.2022 Sunny skies & a few minutes later a small cell rolls in. Hard to take photos when it starts to rain & I am trying to get the clothes off the line...

01.01.2022 Well the trout season closes tonight, although I must admit I have been rather obsessed with carp on fly so not spent a lot time on trout. Taking inspiration from my mate Roy to tie some weed flies & target blackish during winter. Will probably start with conventional floats then maybe progress onto full fly gear later...

01.01.2022 That was some storm that skirted around Mitto this arvo!! Drone was struggling in the wind to get a pano, after the 3rd failed attempt I watched it drift off & wrangled it down to land...
