24.01.2022 It was my great pleasure to volunteer as official photographer for Tuggeranong parkrun this morning. 340 runners on a stunning morning over 5km. I’ll be back running next week.
24.01.2022 What a disaster !? Dozens of parents are pulling their children out of a new Gungahlin public school which they say has descended into chaos two years after it opened. Students at Margaret Hendry School in Taylor are encouraged to be self-directed learners in multi-age, open-plan classrooms, an approach which the ACT Education Directorate says comes from its Future of Education strategy.... Several parents said the school's philosophy seemed manageable in 2019 with only 246 students, but the school has rapidly grown to 487 pupils in 2020 and has about 600 this year. Cath Woodward said her family decided to move over the border largely because of their experience at Margaret Hendry School. Within weeks their new teachers noticed her children were behind in their learning. "We've felt wronged for my kids from a practical perspective," she said. "My eldest couldn't spell apple but he could spell swear words." https://www.canberratimes.com.au//a-disaster-students-at/
22.01.2022 What an amazingly powerful message perfectly delivered. Well done to all those involved. Now let’s all step up and do better.
21.01.2022 This government is hellbent on creating a high density, 'cool little capital' of apartment towers. If you don't deliver what the market wants, the market will just find the product elsewhere. The march across the border for family friendly affordable housing continues.... https://www.canberratimes.com.au//geocon-could-turn-mich/
20.01.2022 Good morning from Tuggeranong.
18.01.2022 The ACT continues to benefit from the Liberal Government's record infrastructure investment with funding for major new projects to be announced in this weeks Federal Budget. Key projects to be funded include $26.5 million to duplicate the remaining section of William Hovell Drive, an additional $5 million for Gundaroo Drive duplication and $2.5 million for upgrades to Beltana Road at Pialigo. https://www.canberratimes.com.au//act-roads-and-light-ra/
