23.01.2022 There's lots of improvements to Marlay Point including dirt and grass runners on various areas to improve bare areas, access to the lake and the caravan parking area. Please stay off these areas to help them bed down and come spring we'll hopefully have great grass growth. And please, take your dog poo home.

22.01.2022 Great to see some winter work going on at Marlay Point. Thanks #WellingtonShireCouncil for re-digging the drainage channel from the road to lake, and putting the dirt on the bald rise. #MagnificantMarlay

22.01.2022 A work in progress...the bare patch in front of the yacht club has had soil and grass put on some of it. With sunshine and rain it will be a vastly improved area for caravan stays. Note: The foreshore committee doesn't have funds or a workforce and relies on volunteers and good partners like #WellingtonShireCouncil and #lakewellingtonyachtclub

20.01.2022 A disabled carpark was requested after this year's #MarlayPointFamilyFair and #wellingtonshirecouncil has delivered. Good news for all visitors especially during busy times.

18.01.2022 On the 24 July DELWP advised: Cyanobacteria Synechoccocus sp remains high at Marlay Point and Roseneath Park, which also continue to have low levels of Nodularia. Recreational alert signs remain in place there. Pseudo-Nitzschia is active again, particularly at Eagle Point and Lake King Jetty but not at trigger levels.... The latest results for mussels are low for nodularin, so we need another week of below trigger level results to be completely clear.

09.01.2022 Busy at Marlay Point today.

09.01.2022 From DEWLP: Levels of the non-toxic cyanobacteria Synechoccocus remain above trigger levels at Marlay Point and Roseneath Park, so signs advising against contact with the water will remain in place there.

08.01.2022 From DELWP 18 September: DHHS has advised that all algae alerts and signage can be removed. DELWP will resume weekly monitoring and reporting in the summer months unless there are any significant changes to algae levels. Monthly testing will continue until then.

07.01.2022 Another beautiful day at Marlay Point and @WellingtonShireCouncil marking out the disabled car parking! Thank you

06.01.2022 From DELWP: Recreation alerts can now be lifted at Eagle Point, Duck Arm, Metung and Marlay Point with two consecutive sample results now below recreation trigger levels.

02.01.2022 It's looking lovely at Marlay Point and please make sure your car stays off the newly grass-soil area. If the grass takes over spring it will be a more pleasant area for caravanners to enjoy. There is still more area to cover and work to be done, but it's a start.

02.01.2022 14 August 2020: from DELWP Fish harvested from anywhere in the Gippsland Lakes should have gills and guts removed prior to cooking. Do not eat whole fish or shellfish harvested from the Gippsland Lakes.

01.01.2022 Another exquisite day at Marlay Point and wonderful to see people walking around and brave souls on the water. There's been some more planting to improve visitors and campers experience, and just some of the visitors need to take their rubbish with them.
