20.01.2022 PREPARE FOR KING TIDES King tides will be experienced in Cairns from tomorrow (9 February) to Friday (12 February), peaking on Wednesday (10 February). King... tide levels for Cairns are expected at the following times (other areas may vary): Tuesday: 3.24m at 8.20am Wednesday: 3.30m at 8.58am Thursday: 3.28m at 9.31am Friday: 3.19m at 10.01am Avoid parking cars in low-lying tidal areas and never drive through floodwaters. Motorists are reminded that tidal flooding is saltwater, which can damage cars on contact. Motorists are urged to drive carefully and slowly, not only for the safety of road users and pedestrians, but to lessen the impact of bow waves, which can push water into adjacent properties. Council advises that traffic controls and detours will be in place where roads are inundated by tidal floodwaters.

19.01.2022 Donations can be brought to the Centre @ 205 Reed Road, Trinity Park anytime between 9am and 1pm Monday to Friday or on the Day of our Mad Hatters Family Fun Day. Thank you for helping us to support our Community. The MCNC Team.

18.01.2022 Thank you to Cairns Regional Council who awarded us a sustainability grant of $1724.80 (inclusive of GST). This grant went towards installing a pergola with movable slats for our passive recreation space. The structure will also extend the growing period and enable increased sustainable productivity for a number of our raised garden beds within the greater garden. We were also able to install 2 stand-alone composting systems that provide mulch for the garden converting green waste from the garden and the Centre into nutrient rich material. Now that's a win win for Sustainability!

12.01.2022 DISASTER DASHBOARD - One-stop place for up-to-the-minute information. With cyclone Kimi approaching, Cairns residents are being urged to familiarise themselves ...with the Cairns Disaster Dashboard. The Cairns Disaster Dashboard (www.disaster.cairns.qld.gov.au) is a single point of reference for information and advice during a disaster. It brings information from Council, the Bureau of Meteorology, emergency services, utilities such as Ergon and Telstra, road status updates, and traffic and flood cams, together in one place. The user-friendly dashboard allows residents to keep themselves informed during a natural disaster. During an emergency the dashboard is updated in real time with things like road closures, power outages and notifications of any shelters that may be opened.

04.10.2021 We understand that some members in the community might have a bit of trouble getting their vaccination status showing in their Check In QLD app. Navigating the systems is a bit of a process and can be confusing and frustrating (even for those of us who are pretty tech savvy). If you're fully vaccinated and would like a hand getting the green tick to show in your Check In QLD app, bring the device you use to check in to venues to Marlin Coast Neighbourhood Centre between 9am and 11am on Wednesday the 15th of December. There will be staff from Centrelink on site to assist with the process.
