16.01.2022 FossickingNT 4.0 is now available. https://arcg.is/1PDizT Included in the release are specimen locations from around the Northern Territory, or photos of sites in situ where specimens are best left in their natural setting.... Where possible, I have included links to the Australian Stratigraphic Units Databases for several specimens which may assist in the understanding and enjoyment of our amazing geology.

14.01.2022 The development of Northern Australia is in motion, with a variety of projects planned within the Northern Territory over the next 10 years. I am pleased to release my beta of the NT Projects web mapping app. It aims to provide users with the ability to visualise and query these location-related projects within the Northern Territory. Other enhancements to this app are in development and will be released shortly with a basic user guide for some of the features and functionali...ty of the application. Feel free to use the beta and please direct any queries or suggestions too [email protected] https://arcg.is/0DaODX

05.01.2022 Nearly done - here's a sneak peak....

04.01.2022 Hopefully the new fossicking app helps others find things like this nice Quartz crystal (private collection). If you have a specimen from the NT or SA, and don't mind sharing details on where you found it, please forward an image to [email protected] with the location details and description of the specimen. If there is enough interest, I'll enable the functionality to complete within the app itself.... The app can be found at the link below https://arcg.is/WKX51

03.01.2022 Hi, I'm finally ready and have V4.0 of my FossickingNT app ready to go https://arcg.is/0a9HX4... In addition to resolving the access issue I've updated some layers, added some functions and changed some symbology to make things a little clearer. I've also greatly enhanced the 'specimen' layers with some sample images and locations from the mineral display from the InfoCentre in Darwin Mall - many thanks to the Northern Territory Geological Survey (NTGS) for the sample images and advice and identification of some of my own collection. Happy exploring everyone.

02.01.2022 We have just released our first web-based mapping application to assist recreational fossicking pursuits in the NT. Check it out at https://arcg.is/1rebiW
