23.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com #4 Consistency is Key ... It is important to be consistent about the rules you impose on your child. If they change from day to day with a change of disciplinary action, your commitment will be challenged. If you are inconsistent in your actions for the same misbehavior, they will not understand. Have certain non-negotiable rules and tell your child what they are. Your authority should be based on wisdom as opposed to power. Trying to power trip your children will only force them to challenge it by nature. #MaroniteCare #wecare #help #parents #heretohelp #stress #sos #children #healthprep #BuildingABetterSociety #Maronite #blessing

22.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com #3 - Discipline with Kindness Being a parent means disciplining from time to time. It is not recommended to ever spank your child no matter what. This is clearly an issue of abuse not to mention; it gives them the message that aggression is a means to solving a problem. Disciplining your child can include things like a time out. A child sitting in silence for a few minutes will allow them to think about what they have done and look to ways to... modify disruptive behaviour. #MaroniteCare #wecare #help #parents #heretohelp #stress #sos #children #healthprep #BuildingABetterSociety #Maronite #blessing

16.01.2022 COVID-19 Information Night - CANCELLED Considering new recommendations by the Federal and State Departments of Health regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its spread, it was highly recommended that unnecessary gatherings should be avoided where possible. Taking this recommendation into account, MaroniteCare upholds the health and safety of the community and sees this as paramount. For this reason, the scheduled talk on the COVID-19 virus, at Our Lady of Lebanon in Harri...s Park on Thursday 12th March 2020 has now been CANCELLED. The talk that was to be presented, will now be delivered live via the Voice of Charity radio station (1701AM or live streamed via VOC app) and their Facebook page (VOC Australia). This will ensure that the community receives the vital information with minimal risk of contamination. The program will still be headed by doctors who have kindly donated their time and will commence at 7:30pm. Listeners will be encouraged to call in to the show and ask any questions relating to the topic on air.

08.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com #7 - Be Adaptable Children grow up quickly so be sure to keep up with their development. A childs behavior will change as they develop and you will have to adapt to each stage. Know the reasoning behind their behavior. For example, the independence of a three-year-old is what makes them say no to everything. This independence will be the same drive to motivate them to be toilet trained.... Pay attention to what your child is doing and find out the reasons this might be happening. Especially during adolescence, watch out for possible depression issues. It may not be a behavioral problem that is making them argumentative. Dont push your children if they are not excelling, instead find solutions. #maronitecare #wecare #healthprep #heretohelp #parents #children #love #adaptive #hardwork #jesuslovesyou #saintsinthemaking #bettersociety #genuine

07.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com # 6 Create Guidelines And Stick With Them It is important to guide the behavior of your child at an early age, or they will have a hard time later. The rules you give to your child and continue to stick with will shape who they are and how they behave. Be sure not to micromanage your child and allow them to make their own choices as they get older, so they can learn how to be accountable.... #maronitecare #wecare #healthprep #parentingskills #heretohelp #stressed #needhelp #sos #creatingabettersociety #love #children #hardwork

07.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com #1 - Respect Your Child If you want your child to give you respect, you must teach them what that means. The best way to do this is to lead by example. Be polite when you speak to them and respect their opinions when they share them with you. Pay attention when they talk to you and respond if necessary. If your child is a picky eater, dont force them to eat food they do not like, or they will begin to see dinner time as unpleasant. Tell them t...hings like your shopping plans, what you need and how long it will take. When it comes to respect you get what you give. #MaroniteCare #wecare #help #parents #heretohelp #stress #sos #children #healthprep #BuildingABetterSociety #Maronite #blessing

07.01.2022 Message of His Excellency Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay In response to the severe drought in New South Wales Dearly Beloved Children of our Maronite Eparchy, ... Never see a need without doing something about it ~ St Mary of the Cross Mackillop As you have been witnessing in the news or through social media in recent times, there are great parts of NSW that are affected by a severe drought. By the very nature of our Christianity, we cannot stand by and watch such hardship befall our farmers, our fellow brothers and sisters who are experiencing such devastation, and do nothing about it. In solidarity with the farmers, our Maronite Church across Australia, will be seeking Gods favour through prayer, asking Him to send much needed rain to the affected parts of the country. Let us all together pray for drought relief and say: Heavenly Father and Source of Life, You give your children abundantly from your graces. Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ instructed us ask and you shall be given (Mt7:7). Through the intercession of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St Charbel and St Mary of the Cross Mackillop, with faith and hope, we ask You for much needed rain in the drought affected areas of New South Wales. Grant strength and courage to the farmers who are so greatly affected by the loss of their livelihood. Instil in us an appreciation of their hard work and empathy for their devastation. We pray to You, O Lord! Therefore, over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd September 2018, we used to have the 2nd plate collection for Fathers Day, collected for Retired Priests and Clergy welfare. Given the seriousness and special circumstances of this drought situation, the 2nd collection in all Parishes this year, will be sent instead to aid in drought relief. We ask for your charity and compassion in this matter and thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity as we stand in solidarity with our drought-stricken farmers. In Christ, + Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay Maronite Bishop of Australia

04.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.org #2 - Have Conversations About Expectations Explaining to your children what your expectations are should be done with forethought. Parents will tend to explain in great detail to younger children what is right or wrong. As the kids get older and they become adolescents, the explanations tend to get shorter. They still need you to help them through the challenges. Let your children know at any age what your expectations are and why.... #MaroniteCare #wecare #help #parents #heretohelp #stress #sos #children #healthprep #BuildingABetterSociety #Maronite #blessing

01.01.2022 Parenting Tips - healthprep.com #5 Give them Freedom of Independence While it is important to set limits for your child to give them a sense of self-control, you should also encourage independence to make their own choices within those limits. Allowing them to make their own decisions develops self-direction in them. Dont mistake their need for independence as disobedience. It is natural for them to want control over their life instead of someone else having control over th...em. The less independence you give them, the more they are going to push for it. #MaroniteCare #wecare #help #parents #heretohelp #stress #sos #children #healthprep #BuildingABetterSociety #Maronite #blessing
