The Beirut blast damaged homes as far as 10km away from the site of the explosion, with an estimated 300,000 people having been displaced. Many of these families have contacted us for aid to help repair their homes. 18.01.2022 BEIRUT DISASTER RELIEF APPEAL Lebanon is presently enduring hardship beyond measure. Your generosity and prayers have helped us aid the lives of the Lebanese people across the country and bring hope to their future. Through this Appeal we:... raised over $526,000 funded the repair of over 150 significantly damaged homes surrounding the site of the explosion distributed 1000 mattresses to displaced residents provided financial donations to charities in Lebanon, such as Philokalia purchased essential items for shipping to Lebanon. Love one another, as I have loved you. (John 13:34)

12.01.2022 In response to the recent disasters in Lebanon, with the help of our volunteers and donors, we delivered 4 containers of aid to our Lebanese brothers and sisters. These were received by Caritas Lebanon and Sister Marana Saad of Philokalia Association, and the items were distributed to countless families in need throughout Lebanon. We thank each and every donor for their support, prayers and generosity. We also thank our Bishop Tarabay and Heaven on Earth for their colla...boration in this project. 12.01.2022 Employee's Duties include: - Maintaining the Register of Charity's Members and Volunteers. - Assistance with preparing for meetings including the preparation and distribution of agendas/minutes, collating papers and coordinating follow up action items. - Maintaining the minutes and other records of general meetings (including notices of meetings), Directors' meetings and circular resolutions. - Collecting and filing home visit and food run attendance documents, driver logs an...d committee meeting minutes. - Liaising with sponsors and benefactors when required. - Monitoring filing of all mail, correspondence and documents. - Assisting in the planning and implementation of fundraisers. - Assisting in the collection of donations and sales of merchandise. - Assisting with stocktaking and ordering of food supplies. - Assisting generally with requirements of the Board and implementing Board decisions. - Responding to incoming enquiries. - Sourcing necessary supplies. - Monitoring, prioritising and actioning emails, social media messages and other correspondence. - Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations and briefing notes. This is a Casual role. The employee will work from home and/or from St Charbel's Parish Youth House, as needed.
