18.01.2022 How do you find time in the day to spend in God’s word and prayer? Do you have a routine of first thing in the morning, or on a commute, or during kids nap time..., or it is just whenever you manage to get a moment to yourself? Sometimes it can be hard to find the time or discipline to listen to God and speak with him. Here is an encouragement from the late 1600s in the story of Susanna Wesley. Carmelina Read put together this kids talk for her church on Sunday about Susanna’s life and the unique ways she carved out time to read the Bible and pray, despite having 19 children to look after (10 survived to adulthood). It’s a compelling story of God’s love affecting all aspects of someone’s life. The way that we model our trust in Jesus to our children, family, godchildren, nephews and nieces or church family is powerful! Carmi also has a suggestion to the kids watching that it would be great to let their mums have time with God regularly, which is wonderful to encourage!
