21.01.2022 BYOxLink..... The Education Department is rolling out a new BYOx connection solution (BYOXLink) and is scheduled to be setup at Maroochydore SHS this September school holidays. In preparation for this new network, all BYOx students will need to prepare by enrolling their device with 'Intune', the Department's secure mobile management system that allows students to access the school network and learning applications. This enrolment process is relatively quick and should be co...mpleted from home anytime from now up until the start of Term 4. Devices that haven't been enrolled before Term 4 will no longer connect but can be easily connected at any time, however, to ensure there is no disruption to learning we ask that this process is completed as soon as possible. [You will need to use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.] Please refer to email sent to parents for further details. Note: Students must know both their computer's password and their school email address and password before beginning this process. Video guides: For Windows: https://maroochydoreshs.eq.edu.au//Windows-Intune-connecti For MAC: https://maroochydoreshs.eq.edu.au//Mac-Intune-connection-g When complete, the device will continue to connect to the current BYOx network and will not require any further actions before the new network is switched on next term. For additional support, students should visit the IT helpdesk in the Resource Centre during opening hours (before school, first break and second break every day).

18.01.2022 CHANGE MAKERS: Young people aged 12 to 25 years - advise Sunshine Coast Council on the decisions that affect you The Sunshine Coast Youth Action Group is an ...innovative program for local young people to help shape Sunshine Coast community projects. APPLY NOW Applications are open for 12 to 25 years olds to join the Youth Action Group with the first workshop set to be held in September at the Thrive Youth Hub in Maroochydore. We have some great projects our young people can advise council on through the Sunshine Coast Youth Action Group, including health and wellbeing programs specific to young people, plans for a junior council in 2021 as well helping us achieve our Sunshine Coast Community Strategy priorities, says Community Portfolio Councillor David Law. Importantly, this is a wonderful opportunity for our future leaders to give advice on issues impacting our youth and for us to hear their voices loud and clear. Year 12 student (pictured) Jordan Horne, 17, of Diddillibah, is the Queensland Youth Parliament representative for Ninderry. Youth are continually referred to as the change-makers of the future. However, we all know change can’t start without action, Ms Horne said. By consulting youth and engaging them in council projects, we are ensuring a tight-knit community both now and into the future and helping to create active members in society who have the needs of the community in the forefront of their minds. REGISTER HERE: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NTM96Q9 The program involves monthly workshops in a casual, relaxed setting with registrants finalised before the September meet up.
