Donna and Arthur set up the Retreat just over a year ago, after completely refurbishing the whole house in a modern and attractive décor. All units have use of outdoor seating area, a dining area, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with various cooking facilities, including a microwave, a fridge, freezer and a BBQ A patio with garden views is offered in all units. And Beechs Brook offers a complimentary continental breakfast. Donna and Arthur have owned and operated a popular Motel in Maroochydore for over 10 years so they know how to make their guests comfortable and relaxed, in a clean and peaceful environment. Arthur was born in Zambia and lived in South Africa till he moved to Australia. With his family. Donna was born in New Zealand and lived in UK. She has worked in the Hotel industry overseas They also offer an airport pickup from Sunshine Coast Airport making for convenient travel. The Rainforest setting, with lots of bird’s and places to explore is lovely. Lake Cootharaba is just down the road and it is the gateway to the glassy, ethereal Noosa Everglades. One of only two everglade systems in the world, the pristine wetlands make for an exceptional escape, with kayaking, bushwalking and picnics. Pets are welcome by arrangement Habitat Noosa at Elanda Point is only minutes away for great food and artesian beer. They also have daily tour boat trips to the Everglades which can be arranged by Donna and Arthur. Also close by is the sleepy hamlet of Boreen Point which is home to one of Queensland’s oldest and most atmospheric pubs the Apollonian Hotel, where you can enjoy a cold drink after exploring the Lake. Donna and Arthur can provide heaps of suggestions for you on the local area, which they enjoy themselves, loving to go kayaking, taking a picnic or walking their dog down by the lake.
