09.01.2022 Dear QLD Regions and Centres, According to the federal and state announcements that were published today, we now have some guidelines on the resumption of indoor sport. At this time Squash falls under Stage 2 "non-contact indoor and outdoor community sport" which will be allowed to resume in limited capacity on June 12th 2020. The guidelines state that no more than 20 people will be allowed to gather and that social distancing and measures still need to be in place. Q Squash ...will be able to send out more details on these measures in the coming few weeks. Currently, we are also working to fully understand the stage 1 restrictions that will be lifted for personal training starting May 16th and we will try to lobby for squash coaching/individual hits to resume on May 16th, in limited capacity. We recommend that players and parents download the COVID app at https://www.health.gov.au/reso/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app to contribute towards slowing the spread of COVID 19 in our centres and communities. We will keep you updated as we find out more. Kind regards

Big thanks to Lyndall for organizing it, we couldn't have done it without you, and to our new President, Wayne Dewar, who kept us entertained throughout the night, giving out awards and prizes. Thank you to all the members who came and made this an exceptional night of fun. 02.01.2022 #WellnessWednesday With lock-downs happening all around the world - suddenly a LOT of people are doing something brand new; working from home. For a lot of people, this presents a whole new set of challenges; especially when you have kids. Staying productive and keeping sane can be a major juggling act if you've never done this before.... Here's 5 hacks to stay in action and work effectively during isolation. 1) Stick to a set routine - I know, routine is boring. But it's very productive. The most successful people I know are also the most habitual and structured in their days. HINT. And remember, this isn't meant to be a holiday, this is to be saving lives. Maintaining 'normal' sleeping patterns and working hours / habits is essential in keeping your mind functioning and on track. 2) Have boundaries - Whether it's splitting time with your partner, designated work spaces or a specific schedule into your day, it's important to have boundaries both sides. When you're working, everyone else at home needs to respect that. When you're not, respect everyone else and switch off your phone and focus on family. Quarantine has it's challenges, but it also means more quality time with the people we love. 3) Wear a work uniform - No seriously. Similar to Step 1, having structure in your day is so important. The simple act of getting up and getting dressed for 'work' immediately changes your mental state. Once you're done, get changed again and have quality time with your family / loved ones. 4) Stay Healthy - Times like this can be a major time for people to blow out. The fridge is constantly right beside us, no one will notice if we eat some extra helpings. Do your best to stick to a healthy routine alongside your work routine. Get quality sleep, move your body daily and nourish your body properly. It keeps your mind clear and sharp, and you will achieve everything far more efficiently - leaving even more time for family. 5) Take regular short breaks and get some fresh air - Frequent mini mental breaks help keep your mind clear and prevents the afternoon slump. And while you may not be able to go outside currently, you can still open your window and get some fresh air. Walk around, move your body and take some nice deep breaths, your body will thank you for it.

01.01.2022 Holy WOW..... How good would this be to have in your back yard
