24.01.2022 We are open and while we promote a message of preventative care, in the current climate and following DHHS recommendations, we aim to limit the traffic in our community to keep us all safe. Saying that, we feel everyone will fall into the following three categories: 1) Acute dysfunction your symptoms are stopping you from performing your activities of daily living or limiting you from caring for others. Come on in! We are here for you. 2) You are experiencing symptoms, however unsure if you will need an appointment. Call us, we can talk you through the process. We may book a tentative appointment and see how you feel in the next day or two. 3) You would like a check-up, but generally feel quite good? We will see you at the end of Stage Four restrictions hopefully only 5 weeks, 2 days away. We will miss you !!

21.01.2022 DEDICATION is driving 77km each way to Maroondah Chiropractic & Myotherapy to give adjustments to our wonderful clinic patients. Angie Aquilina has done this for over two years, but now the time has come to retreat to the west and focus on her clinic, Spire Chiropractic in Melton & Werribee. Angie will have her last day on Wednesday, March 25th, so please make an appointment and get a chance to say, "See ya later!" We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for Angies commitment to our clinic and wish her much success and happiness :) She will be greatly missed.

18.01.2022 The DHHS is formalising rules around treatment with allied health. We are unaware of how this is going to affect us from Thursday morning - it will likely require a GP referral for the next six weeks to see a chiropractor or myotherapist. As we wait, we encourage you to make an appointment with us for TOMORROW ( Wednesday 5th Aug) in the event that things change. Please call the clinic on 9722 9644. We are working hard to keep our waiting room time as brief as possible to keep you and our community safe. 14.01.2022 We would like to announce that our magnificent receptionist, Chris is finishing up work (we are not allowed to use the R word) at Maroondah Chiropractic & Myotherapy this week. She exemplifies the employee who goes above and beyond her job duties, and ALWAYS with a smile. Her kind words, advice and genuine concern for everyone has made our workplace a better one. 10.01.2022 To fight off the cold, Maroondah Chiropractic & Myotherapy took a cooking class together - NOT just any class, we prepared a traditional Pakistani meal under the instruction of Chef Shahid at Free to Feed in Northcote. This is the second time we have had a meal and class through this wonderful organisation. Asylum seekers who have found refuge in Australia are supported by Free to Feed to follow a career teaching their traditional menus to Australians. We had a great time chopping, whipping, frying and EATING with Shahid. Food was amazing as was Shahids story of how he arrived in Australia (https://www.freetofeed.org.au/shahid-burney)

Thanks to an enlightened patient, "CD," we have unlocked the potential of the humble IRONING BOARD - the adjustable desk you never knew you had. Perhaps not the most stable bureau, but perfect to lob your laptop for an extended zoom call. It enables you to angle your camera so your boss wont realise you are still in your PJs "below desk." Ahem. Worth a try for those people trying to conduct video meetings while simultaneously hissing at your children to be quiet, keeping the cat from sleeping on your keyboard and pretending its only tea in your opaque flask at 10am. 08.01.2022 This is AMAZING news! Its a small study - only 100 participants, but gives a proACTIVE approach to people at risk of Alzheimers Disease. This study used patients who had mild cognitive changes with no other symptoms (some days this is me??). The headline is a little off-putting. 02.01.2022 Feeling Motivated? We have some motivation for you with winter fast approaching. Several members of Maroondah Chiropractic & Myotherapy have started a SIX WEEK CHALLENGE to improve their health and break some bad habits. Part of the challenge involved waist measurement - not for weight loss, but for the known health risks associated with certain measurements. Women: <80cm and Men: <94cm have decreased risk of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and som...e cancers. We have measured ours (though were not sharing!) and will complete a healthier lifestyle challenge for six weeks and see if we can permanently impact our future health.
