25.01.2022 Lieut-Colonels Ian and Sonja Southwell and Margaret Caldwell (Maroondah Fellowship of Churches) together with Graham Davies and Eric Lai (Gideons International) offered free Bibles and information bookmarks at the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Event at Ringwood Lake today (26 January 2020).

20.01.2022 At our meeting in February, Sondy Ward of 'God's Dreaming' explained some of the symbols used to communicate the major themes of the Bible to a range of communities across much of Australia.

15.01.2022 At our meeting on Wednesday 6 November at St Paul's Anglican Church (Mullum Mullum Parish), 40 Warrandyte Road, Ringwood, from 7.15pm, Nell Potter will give a talk on: Witnessing life in Palestine. In 2017 Nell spent three months living in the West Bank on a World Council of Church’s program, the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI - https://eappi.org/en). Nell’s time was spent hearing stories, conducting interviews, and observing and documenti...ng human rights violations she witnessed. Nell had the privilege of seeing a reality hidden from view, that most pilgrims who travel to the Holy Land are not exposed to and is grateful for opportunities to talk about it. The accompanying photo shows a checkpoint in Hebron. Nell has studied Theology as well as International and Community Development and has a passion for the environment, justice and poverty alleviation. She also likes to use art to advocate on behalf of others and use the funds raised to undertake short term mission/aid trips. Nell is employed at a Uniting Church as well as being the Executive Officer for the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (www.pien.org.au).

13.01.2022 At our meeting on Thursday 13 February at Croydon Uniting Church, 6 Tallent Street, Croydon from 7.15pm, Sondy Ward, a Christian artist, will introduce all present to 'God's Dreaming'. Together with some other Christian artists and indigenous persons, she has developed a series of pictures outlining the Christian message using indigenous art forms. You are most welcome to attend and be inspired.
