20.01.2022 We need your support in the school survey! The school has sent out a survey to families for feedback on our before and after care centre. This survey will determine whether we will be offered a new lease or the lease will be put out to tender. Maroubra Junction Before & After School and Vacation Care is a parent-run not-for-profit organisation that has provided Maroubra Junction Public School with quality care for 32 years. We would love to have the opportunity to continue wi...th this partnership with our community. We pride ourselves on how our low fees support our local families. Some local for-profit operators charge up to 55% more for before and after school care, and up to double for vacation care! There have been two recent cases in the Eastern Suburbs where centres lost the tender process to franchise for-profit operators. We have included a Southern Courier article below highlighting some of the impacts this change has had on the families of one of the centres, including the loss of the long standing individual knowledge and relationships they had built with the educators. Your support, by filling out this survey before it closes on Friday 10th May, will ensure that our children continue to receive high quality, affordable before and after school care.
