23.01.2022 As we end Term 1, not as we started, we would like to thank the whole school community for supporting our adventure into the new arrangements for learning. While we wish things would get back to normal, we appreciate the need to keep ourselves, our families and our community safe. Thank you to parents who have embraced home learning and who are supervising their children- you are doing a top job! We will embark on Term 2 continuing home learning , reflecting the context of our school community. It has been a learning curve for all in these unchartered waters and we will just keep swimming! We wish you all a safe, happy and restful Easter and holiday break.

20.01.2022 The mural is up!! We commissioned multi-talented artist Mark Horton to create a mural for our school after he visited us in his role at Sport and Rec. NSW. We wanted a marsh theme and the finished work is exceptional and better than we could have hoped for. Originally the idea was to have the school and community participate in the painting. Fortunately Mark has created a second mural for us to get together and paint at a later time when things get back to normal. A huge than...ks to Mark for his artistic effort and willingness to accommodate our vision for the project. Thanks also to Jaime, our unofficial handyman who helped Mark install the mural and reconstruct the support structure. I look forward to sharing the mural with the students, staff and community. 11.01.2022 This week we joined Girilambone and Hermidale schools on an excursion to Dubbo to see the live theatre performance adaption of the very popular book series The 91 Storey Treehouse. We also visited Western Plains Cultural Centre for an art class making block prints and stepped back in time into a 1950’s classroom. The next day we visited Wambangalang EEC where (some!) students got up close and personal with a friendly carpet snake and Blue tongue lizard. We also made a model showing how vegetation prevents erosion and learned about Aboriginal tools from Kevin who entertained and informed us with some great stories. As always it was fantastic to spend time with our Small School friends. ** And, we received some good rain
