20.01.2022 Goldenfields Water has advised that the Water Restrictions applying to Marrar and surrounding areas have been reduced to Level 1 Restrictions. The following restrictions apply: Domestic... * Garden and lawns watering the use of fixed hoses, sprays and fixed sprinklers are prohibited between the hours of 10am 5pm each day * The use of hand held hoses is allowed * No restrictions on swimming pools and spas * Hosing of pavement/concrete prohibited during 10am 5pm each day * Washing of vehicles allowed Public/Commercial * Public gardens, sports grounds, nurseries watering - the use of fixed hoses, sprays and fixed sprinklers are prohibited between the hours of 10am 5pm each day * Crop spraying is allowed * Water cartage is allowed * Hosing of pavement/concrete prohibited during 10am 5pm each day * Washing of vehicles allowed Visit GWCC's website for more information http://www.gwcc.nsw.gov.au/Customer-Serv/Water-restrictions

18.01.2022 Water Outage - Coursing Park Road, Yathella Road, Marrar Pinnacles to Marrar Goldenfields Water staff have had to turn the water off at Coursing Park Road, Yath...ella Road and from Marrar Pinnacles to Marrar due to emergency works. Customers in the area may experience no water at all or very low pressure. We apologies for any inconvenience, the outage should only take a couple of hours. If you have any concerns please call the office on 6977 3200.



17.01.2022 Coolamon Shire Council is hosting an Opening Night Event at the Coolamon Up-To-Date Store to launch their recent project Our Shire, Our Stories: A Celebration of Heritage in the Coolamon Shire The exhibition will feature the voices and words of residents across the Shire (including a few Marrar locals), to unveil the stories that make up our community.

17.01.2022 Park Closures As further direction from the Prime Minister; Council's playgrounds, skate park, mobile skate park and pump track are now closed.... Public gatherings have reduced to 2 people and Council encourages our community to adhere to the directions and warnings put in place to protect everyone.

16.01.2022 Emergency works - Marrar, New South Wales Goldenfields Water are aware a water burst has been reported in #Marrar and currently have staff attending the site. ... Customers located in Lime Street, Wood Street, Webb Street, Hare Street and possibly surrounding streets may be experiencing low pressure or no water at all. We apologies for any inconvenience and will keep you updated as works progress.

John graciously chose to resign from the Committee to welcome Chris O'Donnell to fill his place.

07.01.2022 Thanks to the Coolamon Lions Club, Marrar now has two AED defibrillators installed at the Marrar Hotel & the Marrar Cafe as part of their project to install defibrillators across the Coolamon Shire.

05.01.2022 Marrar Public School is part of the Share Our Space initiative that means during school holidays you can access the school's outdoor spaces (playground, courts, oval, etc) between 8am and 5pm, 7 days a week.

05.01.2022 A fundraiser will be held at the Marrar Pub on Friday 10th January (tomorrow) to help raise funds for past Marrar & Coolamon residents, Alex & Lauren Wilms after the loss of their house and to help their new community at Verona/Cobargo rebuild after the bushfires.
