A custom designed 40ft container complete with a number of separate toilets and showers. We can’t wait for everyone to try it out at our 2021 Gymkhana & Motorkhana! Thanks to the Outback Communities Authority for supporting our club with this project.

14.01.2022 All the machines, the labour, the spreadsheets, the decorations, the budgets, the meetings, the husband and wife teams, and the relentless hours make it all worth it. Hearing so many amazing comments about the Rain Dance is enough gratification for us. Thank you to all committee and non committee members that helped pull it off. People that live in town, and the people who travel from interstate. You know who you are! It was a mammoth effort for all involved. This place, green or dry, abundant or desolate is our home and we want to look after all of our mates as much as we can. Community support and sustenance are what we aim for and we are grateful that so many people came from far and wide to support our Ball. (A couple of committee members are missing from the photo)

There will be 2 categories in each - smartphone and camera - winners will receive a MSC hat and gate entry for next year!! 07.01.2022 Almost finished!! In the past weeks the doors, cement and last wall went up! The electrical work was finalised by the wonderful people at Ridsdale Electrical just in time for our exciting June long weekend gymkhana and motorkhana!! We are so excited to be able to share the finished product with you all, so be sure to come along! We would like to take the opportunity on our last shed update to thank the wonderful people of our immediate community and that of the greater comm...unity who have so kindly donated to our club, allowing us to build such a big wonderful shed. You will each be formally acknowledged in the coming months but for the time being you know who you are and we would like to share our deepest gratitude. And finally, once again a big thank you to the Australian Governments Building Better Region’s Fund! Grants like these truly help build up our little communities!

06.01.2022 A lot of rain in a small amount of time in the township of Marree last night. Look at our Sports Grounds! The end result is very patchy with stations close by measuring between 7mm - 20mm, and a couple of properties with over 50mm further south. An amazing fall in town, but certainly not drought breaking by any means for properties far and wide. Hopefully a sign of a relief for the future!

06.01.2022 Sadly, the Marree Sports Club has found some damage to one of the roller doors on our 10 month old shed. The club, the local community and supporters of the club have put a great deal of time, effort and money into upgrading the facilities at the course and are deeply disappointed about the damage. If anyone has any information on the incident please report it to us, the matter has been referred to the police. If it was an accident, we understand they happen, we’d just like some help to rectify the damage. We hope this is an isolated incident and that we can move forward, building better facilities for all to enjoy.

01.01.2022 Our wonderful shed going up!! This was such an exciting time for us! Thank you to Brad Isaac and Josh from SA Rural Construction for your expert work putting up the shed. To Birdsville Transport for getting the shed to Marree! And to the members of Marree and district for your time and effort helping us to get this shed up when many members of our committee where tied up with other commitments. We are immensely grateful! And to the Australian Governments Building Better Region’s Fund for awarding us this grant.
