22.01.2022 The Official notification from the Attorney General's office !!! Part of the essential section of the marriage ceremony now reads:- MARRIAGE, ACCORDING TO LAW IN AUSTRALIA, IS THE "UNION OF TWO PEOPLE" TO THE EXCLUSION OF ALL OTHERS, VOLUNTARILY ENTERED INTO FOR LIFE....

21.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone ..... many of you will be embarking on the adventure of a life time during 2018 and planning a wedding. It brings much joy and sometimes, a little stress. So, we might explore a few areas and try to help you on that score. Many of you will also want to write your own vows and that can be a beautiful addition to your ceremony. But!! they can also be very emotional and often cause a flood of tears. While this can be heartfelt and sincere there may often be a problem in recovering your calm. Over the next weeks we will explore some suggestions .....But FIRST TIP!!.... Make them meaningful to you but SHORT and to the point. To be continued..............

20.01.2022 Oh my goodness ....done comes the flooding rains ...as much as this will make your flowers sing and bode well for a beautiful bouquet, it only reinforces my comments on the necessity to have a "plan B" when you are organising a Winter wedding! You will need more than beautiful park with a gazebo!!! Ideally a restaurant/ venue / house with a lovely garden fulfils all requirements. You can have a lovely garden wedding in the Winter sun or gather inside to take your vows to the happy sound of rain on the windows! "Plan B" is a Winter imperative!!

20.01.2022 When you are organising your venue for your special day, be thoughtful the affect that weather may have on your arrangements. If you have chosen a lovely outdoor venue like a garden or by the sea..... ALWAYS, ALWAYS.... have a plan B. No matter what season of the year, the weather can be changeable. To insure a happy day always incorporate a wet weather venue in your plans.

20.01.2022 We were talking about your own written Vows and that they can certainly add much to the atmosphere of your wedding. But to avoid a crash of emotions (and boys you will be just as emotional as your bride on this day!!!) short and meaningful is the way to go. Its lovely to say that your new spouse is the love of your life ....but following on from that is also lovely to say something short that you say to each other at other times ...perhaps even daily. For example .... "our love is forever" OR "together into our future" OR "walking together always" These are very short and concise but say everything in a nutshell. The love will shine from your eyes on your wedding day ...you will need little else!!!!

09.01.2022 I must apologise for the length of time that has passed since i have posted any thing on my FB page ..... I've been travelling and having all the fun that can be had in the pursuit of that pastime. Time slips by at a phenomenal rate!! A winter wedding can be a wonderfully special event and can steal the thunder from Spring and Summer. To marry on one of those gorgeous sunny winter days with a gentle breeze and amazing cloud formations as a backdrop makes for spectacular photos and relaxed guests not struggling with heat. The only BUT is the imperative that you MUST arrange a backup venue "just in case" Mother Nature decides not to co-operate. I look forward to weekly chats and happy organising!!!

02.01.2022 Including children or animals in your wedding plans can be very cute but can be fraught with problems. Firstly, there is no way you can maintain a very formal atmosphere if they are to participate. It does, of course, depend on their age, but if they are young, they are likely to steal the entrance scene by wandering off course or stopping to chat to someone!!! As i said , this can be very cute, and add general warmth to the occasion, but you must allow for that to happen and be relaxed about it ...... Dogs or cats can be tricky!! Your rings can be attached to a beautiful jewelled collar on the animal but to watch it take fright at the sight of all the crowd and disappear at great speed across a park, is devastating!!!
