25.01.2022 A very special wedding at the Magpies Nest ( hilltop Wagga Wagga) yesterday for Jessica & Chris.They chose to have their wedding & reception there. A magic day ( especially after all the rain etc that we have had lately). They were surrounded with love from their family & friends. As my long time friend ( her grandmother) wrote:- a fairytale day & it certainly was. It could not have been more perfect & they fly off this evening to the Phillipines for their honeymoon. Congratulations- it was a pleasure & honour to officiate on the day. May you have a very happy life ahead. ( photos M. McDonell)

25.01.2022 A beautiful afternoon for Corey & Dannielle as they celebrated their wedding with a country theme. The day could not have been more perfect & the weather & setting was ( as one person said) "magical". Congratulations to them both. A lovely afternoon.

23.01.2022 Every wedding is different. Travelled to Cootamundra recently for a lovely wedding with a difference. The couple were on horseback as they exchanged their vows. The only difficulty was when they exchanged rings-we needed the best man & matron of honour to hold the horses. A wonderful start for a couple who wish to spend their life on an Australian property

21.01.2022 Having officiated at over 830 weddings it never surprises me that each enquiry & wedding is so different. Have had a number of enquiries this week with a variety of unusual themes & locations. Couples have so many original & unique ideas- each of which works for them.Love hearing them and seeing them happen.

14.01.2022 The"Tree Chapel" at the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens has undergone an amazing transformation & is ideal for smaller weddings- very serene. Well done Wagga Wagga City Council.

10.01.2022 A great way to start the New Year - Reyanne & David- a lovely young couple from China/Malaysia exchanged thier vows in front of family & friends just prior to Xmas. My best wishes to them both a wonderful life ahead of them in Australia.

09.01.2022 I arrived for a lovely wedding just outside Coolamon to find a very special venue. I expected it to be a country property chosen by the couple for their wedding. It was in fact a new reception venue- "Millwood Lane" with a very rustic, country theme. Apparently the owners had their wedding there & decided to make it available for others. There was the perfect "chapel" (a grassed area with pews), a reception venue & lovely shaded, grassed area for guests to meet before & after the ceremony. It was a perfect afternoon for Sam & Laura & I was delighted to find yet another great wedding venue.

09.01.2022 Amazing the number of people from different countries that you meet as a Marriage Celebrant. I have recently officiated at or have bookings from Indonesia, Thailand, China & America. The American couple are travelling as backpackers & have chosen Wagga Wagga as the place to marry. They have certainly chosen a lovely time of year. I am looking forward to it,

08.01.2022 Another beautiful wedding at Borambola Winery. With approx 100 family & friends from many parts of Australia & overseas, Andrew & Chelsey ( from Sydney) exchanged their vows. Such a lovely couple with beautiful baby Scarlett also sharing the day. The afternoon was perfect with a 3 piece jazz band & a magnificent setting followed by wine & finger food..

07.01.2022 A lovely wedding for Gen & Anthony from Canberra at the beautiful "Kimo Estate" near Gundagai. This property offers both a magnificent setting at the homestead for the wedding- in the rolling hills and then the reception in the amazingly decorated barn. This is the first time I have visited Kimo and was delighted to see such a special property.

06.01.2022 What a surprise to read the Daily Advertiser & see that the venue for this Saturday's wedding had been hit by a very bad storm & the sister of the bride had been taken to hospital after being hit by lightning. Fortunately all is well and a big clean up has meant that all will go ahead as normal.

03.01.2022 Despite a few threatening storm clouds, the wedding & reception were very relaxed & enjoyable. The 5 mth old twins stole the show- looking so gorgeous in their pram. Amanda & Clint are a lovely couple & I wish them & their family a great life ahead of them.

03.01.2022 Another superb location for a wedding when Natasha & Luke married a couple of weeks ago at Cottontails Winery. The backdrop was perfect country scenery. Wishing them both a very happy life together.

02.01.2022 As a celebrant at over 840 weddings, today was the first time I had officiated at a ceremony at a cemetery. This morning I had the pleasure of officiating at the marriage of a lovely couple Randall & Tracy at The Rock Cemetery. It was a picturesque morning with approx 10 guests & it was just delightful. & of course, being 31st October made it even more special. My best wishes to them both. I actually married Tracy's sister Kylie 22 years ago!

01.01.2022 After the rain last night the Botanic Gardens were picturesque this morning for the wedding of Michael & Martha. My best wishes to a lovely couple who are making their home in Broome for the next couple of years.

01.01.2022 A lovely wedding on Saturday in the Botanic Gardens for a special young couple from Indonesia- Alexander & Meri. Just gorgeous. The Gardens were superb & the roses in full bloom. It could not have been more serene. Unfortunately no photo at this time as I forgot my camera but will endeavour to acquire as they both looked so beautiful & happy.

01.01.2022 Despite very unpredictable weather in themorning the afternoon was just perfect for the wedding of Clint & Katie at Collins Park. It was a very lovely ceremony & a very radiant couple surrounded by their very happy family & friends. The Boat Club was a great choice for their reception that evening..My best wishes to them both for avery happy life.
