21.01.2022 We have registered a COVID-19 Safety Plan. We plan to keep our members COVIDSafe.

20.01.2022 Another pair (out of ISO 2 by 2 hurrah, hurrah!) onto the lawn today with Nerida and Mary enjoying a game (or two). Mary was clearly so keen to get going she did not wait for all the hoops to be out! Great to see you both back!

19.01.2022 Congratulations again to Malcolm and Wendy, winners of the CNSW GC Div3 Doubles played at Mosman. They are the first MCC members to reach the finals of a CNSW GC competition and are part of a squad of up and coming players at the club. A great result for the Club which fielded 2 pairs for this comp. #croquet #marrickville #innerwest #marrickvillepark #marrickvillecroquetclub #croquetwinners

19.01.2022 What a great idea!

17.01.2022 We have been advised by Paul Manwaring of the Australian Croquet Company that croquet balls should NOT be cleaned with sanitizer. Apparently this was done in th...e USA and it changed the colour of the balls. Instead we recommend that balls are cleaned in a bucket of warm/hot water with dishwashing liquid. They need to be cleaned properly in this mixture, wiped all over with a brush or rag. This will kill bacteria and viruses that may be on the balls. They can then be left to dry. Players could wear gloves whilst performing this task, if gloves are not used then the player must wash their hands with soap for at least 20-30 seconds. Please pass this information to all players who are in charge of cleaning equipment at your club and ensure that this procedure is followed for correct care of the balls and protection of players. Enjoy some croquet over the weekend!

16.01.2022 While club operations remain limited an interest in garden variety croquet has picked up. You may have a garden set tucked away which you use from time to time (probably at Christmas!) but did you know there are also RULES?! Have a look here to rules for a few versions you may like to try at home and remember #croquet is always the winner when anyone plays!

15.01.2022 Sparkle Princess is a must see in this virtual gallery!

15.01.2022 For those who have not been lucky enough to have a game recently our COVID rennos have improved our facilities enormously! It only took 40 years to figure out how to make the shelter sheds reasonably accessible

12.01.2022 Members enjoyed a day of #croquet and convivial company to celebrate World Croquet Day today. Too busy eating and making merry for photos! Happy #worldcroquetday to all!

09.01.2022 I am not sure why Croquet has not been added as low risk against both matrices, anyone care to update?

08.01.2022 This is a favourite game, played at Marrickville on a Saturday morning.

08.01.2022 Some good practice tips here for players at all levels!

08.01.2022 Well, this was a great year for Marrickville Croquet Club! This was the first year for who knows how many years that MCC had players in this state event. Success was repeated a few years in a row after this this one. No State Handicap event this year, maybe 2021 will be another highlight year for MCC!

08.01.2022 Do you think this makes us one of the coolest Croquet clubs in the world?

04.01.2022 The ultimate tool for social distancing in sport - some modifications may be needed to get get a follow through on your swing for croquet though!!

03.01.2022 Well done Jamberoo! And congratulations to our Club President Steve who, partnered withLesley from Sutherland, won their doubles block. Steve was runner up in his singles block as well. Judy also put in a good showing in each of her block. Great to have members playing out and enjoying the broader croquet community.
