03.01.2022 Today from 2pm onwards, major works are being carried out on Smidmore Street with the installation of a new pedestrian footbridge. Its the next big phase for the extension of Marrickville Metro as it will connect the current Centre to our new site. Alas, as the works are substantial, we require full use of Smidmore Street and urge you to use alternate entries/exits which will be setup for you from 2pm onwards for the rest of the day. 01.01.2022 We have been contacted by NSW Health who have confirmed a customer who visited Woolworths has tested positive to COVID-19. At this time, they have confirmed that the customer visited the Centre and shopped only at Woolworths on Sunday 2nd August between 7.00pm and 7.20pm. NSW Health have confirmed that the customer is classified as a casual contact. This means customers or staff who were at the Centre or Woolworths during this time are to monitor for symptoms and seek testin...g if symptoms develop. For more information on this, please refer to NSW Health: https://bit.ly/3fvSWG7 In response Marrickville Metro and Woolworths will carry out thorough cleaning throughout the day and Woolworths have confirmed they will carry out a deep-clean of their store this evening. Woolworths is currently open and trading. The key to preventing the spread of coronavirus is practising good hygiene and physical distancing. You should: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet. Cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser. Keep a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people and to not overtake on moving walkways whenever possible. If unable to practise physical distancing, wear a face covering for added protection. We will continue to monitor this issue and if there is any change in advice, we will notify our valued tenants and customers as appropriate.
