Not only did Laura write some amazing vows to new hubby Jason, but also chose to write some promises to stepson James. 21.01.2022 YO, HOW MUCH FOR A CEREMONY? Sending a wedding vendor an enquiry like this is the equivalent of me calling the hairdressers and saying ‘yo, how much to do my hair?’ There’s NO WAY they’d be able to give me a price because they have NO IDEA what my hair looks like and what I want! Do I fancy a few highlights? cut? wash and blow wave? treatment? toner? All these little details make a difference to how much it would cost and also help the salon match me with a styl...ist who’s got the skills to deliver the services I need! If you’re trying to figure out your budget, then that’s awesome just make sure your enquiry contains enough info for vendors to give you a decent quote. The date, time, venue and type of ceremony you’re wanting are an absolute MUST and perhaps politely saying hello and including a bit of info about yourselves wouldn’t go amiss so we can suss out your vibe! #justsaying P.S miscellaneous photo of me dressed in an op-shop wedding dress (probably singing Celine Dion) has absolutely nothing to do with this post, I just wanted an excuse to share it

In case you haven’t sussed it out by now, I’m liiiiiittle bit passionate about writing your own vows for your ceremony However, I do know that it’s one of the things that stresses couples out the most... either they don’t know where to start putting pen to paper or they have a big fear of public speaking. If this sounds like you, then I encourage you to take 2 hours away from guest lists, table plans and folding napkins - and come join me ...for a fun afternoon of vow writing (complete with nibbles and alcohol ). In just 2 hours you’ll learn some tips and tricks about writing something epic and unique and you’ll leave the session with a draft of your vows written and ready to go! 20.01.2022 MICRO WEDDINGS Fortunately for us on the west side, weddings are still a go! However, COVID craziness has meant couples have had to get more creative with their plans to accomodate the ever changing restrictions and border closures. Timea and Steve originally planned a much bigger wedding at a completely different venue but made the call to downsize and change plans to ensure they could still get married on their chosen wedding date.... That date was today, and their new venue was here at a super cute art gallery in Maylands. And although some of their loved ones couldn’t be with them physically, by the power vested in me by Zoom we were able to ensure they were with us digitally instead! Emotions were running high and it was so incredible to feel the magic in the room Today was a true example of two people in love, willing to forsake all the fancy things to just be married So to all the couples who have had to change their plans (once, twice, sometimes three times now) you’re AMAZING Stay positive and I promise that whatever happens, your day will come and it will be totally perfect no matter what

14.01.2022 WHO THE HELL ARE YA? So it’s been a hot minute since I rambled on about myself a little so you can get to know me, so here’s a few things you may or may not already know: I’m adventure obsessed. Last year hubby and I trekked to Everest Base Camp for our honeymoon (I don’t recommend this as a honeymoon destination stick to the Maldives instead )... Brekkie is my favourite meal of the day. My perfect brekkie would be a cross between an avo smash and smoked salmon eggs benny I legit cannot go to bed without my teddy. For real... I’ve had this bear since I was born and the poor guy has seen better days (no fur and one missing arm) but heck he does good cuddles! I suck at all sports apart from golf. Well maybe not golf-golf, more like mini-golf but still, I never ever lose. Challenge me. I have a bucket list and I do what it tells me. Every year. Without fail. I played the role of a police officer in a Blues Brothers musical production I have zero acting or singing ability. I did it because the bucket list told me to Right, now tell me something about you that I don’t already know...

04.01.2022 MY BIG DAY Here’s hubby and I back in 2017 slightly sweaty but totally smitten and sharing our wedding vows. Prepping for tomorrow’s vow writing workshop got me all nostalgic and consequently made me dig out our wedding vows (currently blubbering FYI )... Now, whilst I chose to write War and Peace for my vows, Sean’s were pretty short and sweet. And you know what, that’s ok! He always knew I was going to write a longwinded novel and I know he’s a man of few words! So moral of the story is to stay true to who you are. Write something in own words, no matter how short or long it might be. As you can see from these photos, the moment is amazing regardless. Can’t wait to get those creative juices flowing with you all tomorrow (and apologies in advance if this hormonal woman starts blubbering when reading your drafts )

02.01.2022 Leave it to the experts (AKA me! ) Questions I get ALL the time from couples: What do we legally have to do? Do I have to speak in front of everyone?... How long will the ceremony go for? Can I bring my fur-babies? Where the heck do I start with writing vows? And the list goes on! Wedding planning is A LOT to take in I get it! That’s why it’s super important to find vendors who are experienced, knowledgeable, you vibe with and most of all, you TRUST! And being the experts they are, they’ll take care of the rest So when it comes to your ceremony, you tell me what you love, what you don’t so love much (and everything in between) and we craft your day together All my couples also get a copy of my super duper (even if I do say so myself ) Ceremony E-Book which is jam packed full of wedding day inspo, so you’ll never be short of ideas!! Then by the time we sit down for our final planning meeting, you’ll know exactly what your options are and be feeling super stoked because it’s going to be TOTALLY allllll about you My aim is for the ceremony to be your FAVE part of the day!!
